Redbull Soapbox race

Hey, does anyone want to go watch the Redbull Soapbox race this Saturday?

I'm taking my kids if it isn't raining. Redbull puts on great events!

 

Wish I could go but I work Saturdays. Bummer

BUT! since its at 12:45 ill be there until five-ish. Anyone else going?

ill be there with some people

Does anyone know of a good place for us all to park together?

 

I will be down there for the Mayorial Super Saturday @ Grady High School. If the race is still going on I will walk over.

Wednesday I had the pleasure of meeting the Director of Marketing for the event. We got a full tour of the area, and about 6 cases of Red Bull.

If you plan on going, please get there by walking....leave your car because it will be useless.

 

There will be a ton of free redbull.

Pankopp is driving the car he built so everyone vote for him. It is the one that looks like a donk with 22" bike rims.

 

Or bike and use marta to get closer. I'll be there sometime in the afternoon.

 

You could leave some more of Brett's stuff on the back porch out like a trap and do a stake out. Maybe if you catch someone they'll lead you back to the stronghold where they're keeping your bike.
Brett's tools and intercooler are gone, though, dude. So sorry.

So Pankopp took 3rd place in his donk and got a nascar driving experience for his troubles along with a trophy. Awesome being that there were 50 karts

 

Congrats to Pankopp and his team.

Wish I could've made it out to watch.

 

I wish they had grand stands and that the park tavern was open to the public. Other than that, it was neat to watch the soapbox cars and the redbull nascar sounded mean as hell

 

Thanks for the congrats! it was a blast, we went out there just looking for a fun time and a chance to haul ass down the hill... didnt expect to actually place. I have a few pictures from the event and a few videos from red bull that i will post up after they send them to me..

Park Tavern was apparently $1000 a head to get VIP access. Me and a few friends tried to sneak in and failed. Two-buck Chuck and a glass of ice saved the day.

I had no clue that was your soapbox car, congrats! It was the first car I saw run when I showed up.
