So I completed my console conversion, but noticed there is a slight difference that I overlooked. What to do with the mirror controls that were in my 03 console. They are on the door in an 06 so there is no place for them now. Does anyone know or have suggestions on where to mount the controls now?

aside from swapping door cards (and re-wiring), is there a place in the console that you can cut to mount the mirror controls?

You have 4 options (I have also done the swap).

    (1) Re-wire controls for 05+ Door Cards
    (2) Set it and forget (tuck the mirror controls beneath the brake boot)
    (3) Cut a nice small square in the center console somewhere around the cup holders and install
    (4) Extend the wiring and pipe it into the armrest area and have it tucked away in there

Until I install my new door cards, I am using #2. Never had an issue. GL!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did this swap cost you? I would love to have some more cup holders...

Depends where you get all the parts from. Usually everything seems to sell for around $300.00 IIRC.

-Thanks Alex, I'll probably go with #2 for now as I really didn't want to cut the console. I had almost decided just to leave the switch off since I never really use them but #2 sounds like a better choice... just in case.
-No pics yet slug, I'm waiting for my red hazard button to come in first.
-Berzerklo,total cost for everything was about $275 total. I had to piece together the console, vents, STi Ebrake and the console sides. I bought the 06 TR Radio bezel for $56 from Subarugenuineparts.com
So it wasn't the cheapest mod but it looks great and if done over the course of a few months it doesn't hurt too much

I cannot remember if it is one of the switches (like the hazard) that is necessary to be plugged in order to complete some sort of circuit. For example, if the Hazard is not plugged in your blinkers do not function.
