I recently got a stock sti bumper and need to cut it out for the FMIC. Has anyone done this before or can assist me on how to do it?

    Thanks

the razor blade will turn out much better. mark the line you want to cut with some masking tape and follow the line making shallow cuts. On the second pass put a little pressure on the plastic so that it bends and it will make it much easier to cut.

This is the best and easiest way to cut. Do not use power tools, especially a Dremel. They spin to fast and end up melting the plastic. It is really easy to do.

If you need help, I will be available this weekend.

You can come by here. We just did 2 bumpers this last few days. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Take care!

Do I start cutting from the inside or outside? I might attempt this tonight.

I would start in the middle and shave off little by little. Start in the middle and work your way to the sides. Shave off a little at a time so as not to cut to much.

If your car is white and you haven't started, maybe we can trade. Mine is cut for a front mount and I'm running an OEM top mount.
