I never will understand why car companies waste so much money on concepts that they know will never make it.
I guess in this case, it was for a movie. but yeah, I agree to an extent. They will make some, but not to the 'extreme' that the concepts are at.
Coolrex, I'd argue that your point was true 10yrs ago but nowadays the radical concepts are coming to life 2-3 years later looking very similar to the drawing boards and foam mockups. Look at the 350Z concept from years ago, any of the newer Lincolns and Caddies, the Chevy Volt, etc. This Chevy is uglier than the C6 but it doesnt look like it would take much to produce since its not all that different.

Some of the concepts I understand. But the outrageous ones that keep coming out and all that is so radical.....no way on earth they will make them. That's what I don't understand.
I don't like the side view mirrors, or the fact that is it is smiling at me. And the beady little head lights just don't look right to me.
