Corvette Stingray Concept...

I never will understand why car companies waste so much money on concepts that they know will never make it.

 

Coolrex, I'd argue that your point was true 10yrs ago but nowadays the radical concepts are coming to life 2-3 years later looking very similar to the drawing boards and foam mockups. Look at the 350Z concept from years ago, any of the newer Lincolns and Caddies, the Chevy Volt, etc.

This Chevy is uglier than the C6 but it doesnt look like it would take much to produce since its not all that different.

 

The C6 is such a gorgeous car... why did they have to beat it with an ugly stick?!?

Some of the concepts I understand. But the outrageous ones that keep coming out and all that is so radical.....no way on earth they will make them. That's what I don't understand.

 

Isn't that the vette that was in the new transformers movie?

 

I don't like the side view mirrors, or the fact that is it is smiling at me. And the beady little head lights just don't look right to me.

Ah, did not read the article. I actually think it is a kind of cool concept.
