Another player in the 5 speed gearset

I never could understand why people want the 5-speed gearsets when you can do a 6-speed swap for about the same amount of money? It has been proven the 5-speeds are still breakable with the expensive gearsets and the 6-speeds are designed much better and can hold a ton of power.

of course the 07 6-spd got it right in regards to better ratios

Damn i thought mine were bad being 4k rpm at mph in 6th gear

 

If the ratio's too short, your redline is too low :sx:. The 6speeds are geared for a 207 that will rev to 8-9K rpms with no problems.

 

i need to call dom and ask. they were doing a lot of airplane builds last I checked

 

Also for those that drag race the 5 speed aftermarket gears can be nice. The 07 is an improvement, but still not equal to the ppg ratios. Nice long ratios on that set....you find out what they are going for?

 

Hopefully the exchange rate is in our favor.....

just do what the drag racers are doing and drop in a turbo 350 tranny. ha chevy transmission for the unbreakable win.
