I'm just wondering, does anybody else have a Flickr that they use to upload pictures taken with any sort of DSLR?

    Here's mine; http://www.flickr.com/photos/25261028@N04/

Everything was taken with a Canon 40D, borrowed from my friend over pretty much all of Summer, and then some.
My beginning pictures, with the amp and gauge cluster, are pretty sucky, as well as with the S2k pictures.
You'll start to see improvement with my shots taken downtown.

I use flicker, memberid "ascelon". Also on DripBook. I shoot with a Nikon D70 with a variety of lenses/filters. :)

I use PhotoBucket for my photos, but I've got very little in there. I generally keep my originals on my Mac and just upload low res stuff to Facebook. I might have to look in to Flickr ...

I think iPhoto might dump straight to Flickr. That would be nice. That's the main reason most of my stuff goes to Facebook ... one-click publish.

I have a Canon Rebel XT w/ the 28-80 and 75-300 kit lenses. At work I use a 10D w/ much better lenses.

Hahah. I love the Epic Mount picture. That's absolutely hilarious, as I posted already.

Heheh. Thanks... It was a terrible PS job, actually. It was just something that I was experimenting with.

Photobucket is actually the only image hosting site I use for just whatever stuff.
Flickr is for my more serious material. They don't get much viewings, but it's cool.

And, nice. A Rebel. Do you work at a studio, to be working with the 10D?

Why the Lumix, over the D70?
I much prefer having the full control of a DSLR over a P&S.

    Hahah GET OUT OF HERE!!!

That's cool. DSLRs are mad expensive, and I don't even own one myself. A simple P&S, if that's all you have, is still pretty good.

    So I added everyone as a contact/friend.
And from looking at everyone's Flickr, still pretty cool stuff, regardless of your hardware!

Yeah, i got my Rebel kit for $200 from a pawn shop ... lol. Great deal. The 75-300 gets soft on the long end, but it does okay for what I use it for.

No, I don't work for a studio. I actually work for a subsidiary of Southern Company. I'm sort of a one-man creative shop ... graphic design, Web development, photography, video, print, etc. The 10D is nice and clear, but the Rebel is actually faster and better for motorsports. But the glass I have at work is MUCH better.

    Some shots w/ the 10D ...

Oooh nice. I really like the shot of the 350.
    The lenses that I've worked with are a 70-200 L, 100mm Macro, and a 28-70 L, all IS.
Have you worked with the 70-200? It's phenomenal.

I have not experienced the joy of L glass. My lenses at work are all IS, but not L.

Ah. Hahah. In reality, I don't even have that much experience to know what luxuries I've actually had with the L lenses.
I just know about the decrease in times the lens needs to auto-focus.

Because glass is expensive and dslrs are big and heavy, not something I want to always lug around in the backcountry

Yeah, they are cumbersome to tote around. And, honestly, there are some nice P&S cameras that can take nice photos these days. You don't always have to lug around your DSLR. But, I usually do anyway ... lol.
