any prep need to be done before a vehicle is dyno'd... skid plates or anything like that need to be removed for strapping down?
yes, please remove all skid plates and any engine covers that need to be removed to get to the coil pack wires.
Well, Clark is sick and we have not got new plugs in and finished the tune on his. Ghost got his timing belt done but we have been unable to coordinate scheduling to get it back to the dyno to finish his up. Think the only car we will have there will be Upsidedowndesi's. Mine is just now coming back from the machine shop and still waiting on cams, injectors and a turbo. Maybe next time
great event... good turn out and fun time! what did everyones numbers end up being.. 07 charger 301 and 343
Good times, thanks tracey and batlground for hosting, and drew, nicad, and brett for bringing the WIN
we're still bringing the win sumbitch we devoured that whole handle of evan williams. we like to keep it classy for dyno days. pretty sure I was hitting on tracy something ridiculous
Lmao, no the mustache mask was hittin on Tracy, I'd come out and join yall mofo's but my friend that's visiting is leavin early in the morning so we are just gonna chill at home, next weekend I want to Win too
The mustache mask was amazing. I shall post pics later. Thanks for an awesome time y'all and very nice to meet everyone! We had a bunch of toys at the end of the day and Drew was hammered.
Holy Crap! You all were a trip! I had a great time with everyone, and thanks for all the support! I could not have done it with out you! Thank you to Dan and Tracy for letting me do this and for all of their help. Tracy for the promo help and Dan for grilling the day away. Andrew and Justin for the hard work on the dyno. Kevin, Ashley, Anthony for keeping everyone going where they were supposed to. Drew and the crew for the now infamous "Evan Williams Incident". We had a huge pile of toys by the end of the day! I am posting a Blog about it today, with lots of pics, on the BG website. This may become a yearly event. I just want everyone to know how proud I am of being a part of this great cause, BG, and this community. Great work WRX Atlanta people! You represented very well and and I really appreciate it.
Wish I could have made it, left my house at 8:45, but my friend wrecked following me up there, so we had to take care of things.
I wish I could have stayed longer but I had to go get a heli coil for my motor before Mr Ball left for the day.
That was an original I6 that came in the rambler. 3.3l equivalent, with a turbo strapped on it. He was not expecting much power, and you could hear that it was not tuned properly. No intercooler hurt as well as the giant rear wheels. Turbo+Carburation is some sort of VooDoo magic I think. Would be a baddass set up if it were running proper and making decent power.
just for you, buddy ;p YouTube Video 1 YouTube Video 2 (may still be uploading) dipstick popped out, causing oil to spew on the engine (well, most of it actually on the dyno). Caused the AOS to suck up oil and send through the intake / motor, hence all of the smoke. If you were there, you'd remember everybody yelling 'ooohhhhhhh', but you see me calmly walk over and just push it back down, lol
