Next time you guys dyno a car over there, feel free to drive over to BG and throw it on their dynojet because I haven't seen anything that makes me think that your dyno reads any different. If Dan won't do it for free Ill pay for it.
Oh the "red plastic solo cup" has been thrown down now, let's see if he has the spine to take you up on it.
Normally people throw down a gauntlet, and I don't think anyone has ever doubted if I have enough spine... I'll be happy to take a car over there after I make sure that Dan is cool with it. It's quite well accepted that Dyno Dynamic's are down 13-15% from Dynojets. The cars that have been on Forged's DD and the other local Dynojets have been more like 16-20%. A stock STi makes 200-210 whp on our DD and 240-250 whp on most Dynojets. Siegel
At 19lbs Drews car made the same whp on your dyno that it did on the dynojet. Way back when Clark tuned my first Bugeye at Dyno4mance it made 300whp 1 day later at Batlground it made 299whp. I'm sure that some Dyno Dynamics and Mustang Dynos read different but the ones in this state don't seem to.
Not to mention all kinds of software settings in the dyno's software that can change the final output numbers...
Wirelessly posted (From Your Mom's House) can we take the dyno debate to another thread? My wagon aspires to grow up and be like yours...one day. Maybe by the time I'm ready, they will have a Spec B wagon.
Well, my family has been out of town since Wed so I took it upon myself to do some much needed work on my car. Thanks to Lisa from SOG for getting me the motul fluid and the rebuild kit for the Brembos. Got home and noticed another Brembo mouting hole was stripped. Thanks to Ball Engines for putting the Helicoils in the Brembos for me. Got the Brembos on finally. Thanks to Andy for fixing the stall issue on my car Dirty TB FTL. Thanks to King for getting the motor in my car...both of them Finally fixed the damn dash rattle I have been having. Did the 500 mile oil change on my car. Changed out Tranny mount to the Group-N. What a difference Then noticed I had a hole in my exhaust. I knew it was coming since I hit the same spot on my exhaust from my driveway. THanks to Breel for patching teh exhuast at midnight last night Thanks to Doug for the Battery Tip. Put in a group 51r battery and saved tons of space and weight. Now I wish someone would buy my motor and brakes so I can get a 6-speed New turbo and tune coming soon!
WOW thats a lot of work. I've been cleaning all day getting ready to finish putting the motor and tranny in. I need to finish setting up the front diff and then it will be ready to go in.
Matt and I will be selling it to recoupe some of the cost for the new setup. It will most likely be Rotated Up, V-band down, Turbo, and intake. You would still need some more stuff to make it complete like a wastegatebut it will be cheap enough to where it is still a bargain. More details to come!
Keep me in the loop. When the motor is done I will need a new trubo set up and I like your set up.... Man you have too much stuff I want and or need.:rofl:
Probably never A little to ricey for me. I may get some sort of JDM front and rear bumper but that would the most I would do the exterior.
Much better, It would look better on some freshly painted BBS LMs, and those mirrors have to go...and the intercooler looks tilted but other than that its cool
Compressor housing will get powder coated and the turbine housing I had a spare so it is being powder coated now. Should have it all back soon.
Bah...no 6 speed needed Will need to get it coated, then a few pipes made. It will probably be a few weeks.
Turbo goes in starting THursday. Tune on Monday 02/01 at TopSpeed. If you are bored, stop by. I will be there from 1 PM till who knows when. Also, 6-speed is in and Andy will be fixing it soon. Still gathering parts but I would say no more than 2-3 weeks out before it goes in the car. For those that are lame and not my friend on facebook.
Eddie did you coat that housing blue or is it black? Hard to tell on this monitor but I see a hue of blue.
It is royal blue...sorry about the crappy cell phone pic. I wanted black hotside but it came out silver for some strange reason
Lol with the silver hotside it looks like a twin turbo set up. I will probably stop by ts when u are getting tuned
Wow, we work in the same office for all this time and I didn't realize how far down the rabbit hole you had gone with your car-nice!
It is amazing how much a big turbo will quiet down your exhaust Thanks to Brandon @ BG for doing an awesome job on being so innovative on the IC pipes and Up Pipe. Tune will come next week! My car sounds like a Honda now http://batlground.com/blog/?p=725
