Hey TopSpeed I know that you and GST had that one article in Suby Sport for your "matching time attack cars" so I thought you would like to see how they brought their game. Sorry for the large pics, I just pulled them from another forum.
a whole lot of useless weight if you ask me, looks good with the widebody...well parts of it anyways.
GST was always fun to run with. They are good guys, and do some pretty cool stuff. We had alot of fun with them at Miller in 08. Lucy is no longer with us, and we are on to bigger and better things for the Redline Series for 2010. So although we will probably be racing against them, it won't be in Lucy. Nice pictures, and I am sure a fast car.
What did you guys do with Lucy? I know the motor and trans got parted out but what happened to the rest of her?
I was told Lucy's body was sold to a customer who is gonna put another motor in her and race it but she won't be like her former self. :dunno: Meredith....I wish I could afford being a wheel whore like you! (Disclaimer: Not calling you a whore but a 'wheel whore' which I'm sure you will admit) But common sense tells me on a dedicated track car like this you want the best of everything!
A customer offered a really good price for a rolling chassis so Lucy got sold. The customer and his buddy ordered and "mostly" installed a Cosworth long-block. It's a semi-interesting and fairly long story. But the finality of it was that Doug, Jason, Shawn and myself told the owner and the guy who assembled it that it sounded like there was something REALLY wrong in the head on cylinder 2. Cosworth said to send it back to them. The guy who assembled it has a Cosworth motor in his car and believed that his had made the same sound for the first thousand miles. The car was brought to Forged and Sharif and everybody here told them that it was a bad sound and the motor needed to go back to Cosworth, or at least come out and apart. Against our suggestions they said to go ahead and tune it. I told them that I expected something catastrophic to happen when we started to run it to higher rpm... The owner said "what do you really expect to happen?" I replied, "I think the something in cylinder 2 is going to break off and destroy the motor." The assembler was there and said that it was fine and sounded just like his... The first time it went to 6,700 rpm one of the valves in cylinder 2 broke off and did a lot of damage... They are currently dealing with Cosworth... I hope they get it back together and come and run it. Siegel
Cliff Notes: Lucy is a naughty little bitch! Doug finally put her is her place enough times that Lucy backed off and started being a good little girl. She doesn't respect the new owner enough yet, so she is back to being a naughty little bitch! God help that man! I mean lets face it, we all want a TAMED naughty little girl around
Is that like saying, "She's June Cleaver in the kitchen and Pamela Anderson(replace with any freaky chick you want) in the bedroom'?
