LED Lights

  1. Ok, so I found these lights online the other day and wanted to know if anyone has ever used them, or what you think about them. Post up....

If not these, have you used any others. Post a link....

I am trying to find a brighter light and more true white color than the stock ones. I don't want to go HID just yet, don't have the money. So any suggestion on that as well would be great.

from what I can tell, those are not headlights. They don't sell an LED headlight. If you click on headlights on the left rail, it takes you to http://store.ijdmtoy.com/category-s/74.htm which is selling HID 'kits' as well as led strips to replace DRL.

In my opinion, save the money, save up, and do a retro-fit with projectors. Alex was/is selling his.

  3. I know these are no headlights, they are the H3 fog light. I was just curious if the LED are any good? I corrected the link, try it now.

I could see them being used for marker lights or daytime driving lights. the problem is those are not going to project very far at all. There just gonna scatter light everywhere. You can some really nice fog bulbs for about $40 that will be way brighter than those LED. I have a set of PIAs in my fogs that went through the washing machine before I ever put them in. They are still working after i have been through two sets of headlights.

  5. Looking at PIAA now, what version do you have?

Have you or anyone else ran the Intense White version for low beam or fog lights?

    Osram Nightbreaker +90s = win.
Or if you can manage, get some HIRs.

  8. I ordered some PIAA Intense White Fog lights and low beams. They are kinda expensive so just bought the ones that matter most right now, later on down the light Ill get my high beams. Here is the link.

FYI, didnt order it from them. They are way over priced, I paid 37.50 for the set on the fogs and 48.00 for the lows. I couldnt justify paying 130+ dollars for lights right now. Ill keep ya posted and let you know how they turn out.

Awesome, hopefully yours last as long as mine have. I've had them in for over 2 years now.

What was wrong with the stock bulbs? They do their job just fine. I just threw out about thirty of them yesterday.

  11. My point exactly

I threw them out because I personally have no use for them. They all worked just fine.

  13. So I ordered the PIAA Intense White bulbs and they called me today letting me know it would cost an extra 15 bucks to have them drop shipped from PIAA. I canceled the order, upon further researching I found these. Didnt really want to spend this much, but I dont think I will find the results I am looking for in filament bulbs.

My main question is how big of a difference is there between all the different levels (8000k, 12000k, 15000k). I from just the images I see on the site, 12000k is not gonna be what I want, due to the fact that its purple. Anyway wanted some input. I dont know jack about HID's.

    This.

It will not improve your light output, but will glare/blind everyone else on the road.

I had a nice chat with the OP last evening about the "basics" of this. Happy to do the same with anyone else so long as you listen. If you don't, I am taking my lecture back!

  20. Yes it was very useful. Like I said before I didnt know squat about HID's Alex really cleared it up. Might want to open a Sticky on it Alex.

There quality control is terrible. I had a couple of silver stars last a year, not bad, not good.
However, my dad also bought a set and had one burn out 3 days after he got them, the other bulb burned out after a month.

  23. They are kind of shitty ya know, not the highest in quality and unreliable.

not sure why everyone is against hids in a non hid housing... i put them in my dads 07 charger and they output is amazing and there is no horrible glare to on coming traffic... honestly hondas who use them and adjust their headlights up cause there car is slammed are the ones that piss me off
