I have been talking with the guys about taking advantage of this new year and trying some new things. Everyone is really excited to see what we can do to make our shop a better place. We also want to try out some things to connect with and help the community of automotive enthusiast. So my first idea is a monthly or bi-monthly workshop at the shop. There would be 10 or so spots available to attend. During the workshop we would be working on a shop car installation or fabrication project. One of our techs would be there to perform the install and to give detailed information along the process of the project. There will also be notes emailed to you after the workshop for you to keep for your own reference. JUST TO BE CLEAR, THIS IS NOT FOR FREE LABOR FOR EVERYONE THAT ATTENDS. IT IS MEANT TO BE A CLASSROOM WHILE WE WORK ON SHOP CARS SO THAT THE ATTENDEES CAN LEARN HOW TO DIY. If the workshop goes over well, I have some ideas to give away prizes on FB and Twitter to have your car be the car we do the install on for the workshop—free of charge (labor only). So, what we would like to discuss is who may be interested, ideas you may have about structure, etc., day and time of the month to host the workshop and anything else you might like to add. We hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year so far! I will be addressing most of the comments that arise on FB, so if you want, join in on the additonal discussion on FB regarding FREE monthly/bi-monthly install workshops at Batlground: http://tinyurl.com/BatlgroundWorkshops
Exactly. We figure we do installs on the shop cars all of the time, might as well make it into a class.
i'd attend if i didnt already know how to do everything, lol. j/k sounds like a great idea. my recommendation would be for up-pipe, and turbo back exhaust and probly sway bar and spring/coilover installs. those are probably the most common wrx/sti self installs
I'm interested. The only things I have done are intake, FMIC, Downpipe/exhaust, coilovers. The last two with help, but I'm nervous to work on my own car with no experience doing this stuff. I love to watch.
