I bought this car August of last year and have been trying to fix her up. Just recently I've noticed my rpms will drop almost to the point of my car dying once i've come to a complete stop. Certain days the car runs just fine and sometimes it'll do this...

I'm assuming there may be a hose leak somewhere I'm not seeing. Could it be a minor exhaust leak? Alex knows about my leak... still haven't fixed that.

Debating upgrading my CAI to see if that rectifies my issue.

Anyone had this issue? Know where I need to look or what to do?

    Cheers,
    -Todd

Also, clean out your TB with TB Cleaner. Spray some on a rag, open the butterfly, and clean away.

or tea bagging but we are talking about cars here:)

I had a ridge of gunk around the butterfly plate in the TB that would cause my car to stall when letting off the gas. The plate would shut and then get caught in the gunk that would prevent it from opening up fast enough to catch itself froms talling.

if problem still occurs after cleaning the TB and MAF, take the can of TB cleaner and spray a little around each hose coupling and vacuum hose. do one at a time and if the idle drops after spraying, that will show you where there is a leak, and do all the lines as you may have more than one leak,

It appears as though the previous owner tampered with the airbox and wasn't attaching it back correctly. As a result he snapped off a corner of the airbox. You're supposed to slide the two notches into place before attaching the clamps and there must have been an issue with that since it wasn't aligned right and wasn't put back together right.

SOOOOooo... Guess I need a new airbox... May get a CAI then.
