Chip, I hope the other guys helped out some after I left:) You need to go get an alignment ASAP!

So Lee, why did it take you guys 4 hours to put on a DP? I think most shops charge an hour and get it done in like 30-45 minutes. Why did you take off the TMIC?

we left about ten minutes after you did, Chip ran out of beer and wouldn't buy us pizza. Last I saw was a pair of legs under the car

Breal actually toughed it out; maybe it was the thought of that Patron that saved the day.

Actually, thanks to everyone for pitching in, and giving Laika attention.
Can't wait to take the new setup around the block in the AM.

I was planning on having Gran Tourismo do my aligment and put on the RCA kit sometime in the middle of the week; fortunately its only 3 miles round trip to work

IIRC, his TMIC was too wide to allow him to loosen 1 or two of the bolts on the turbo. He also installed a new heat shield and there was no way that was going on with the TMIC still installed.

After a few miles, even with totally unknown alignment specs [interestingly, I was surprised to find the centering no worse than the nearly 30,000 mi old factory alignment]. I can say the transformation in ride, response and cornering is nothing short of amazing wtih the DD settings on the Tarmac IIs and the soft settings on the sways

Once again thanks to everyone for all the help and techincal support, glad to have Lee over and host his install.

Since I decided to upgrade my spec for this project, now as a result, I have a set of BNIB 2005+ ProDrive Lowering Springs and Group N front top Mounts for Sale- will post this soon.

Well, I was kinda lazy with it to. Basically taking the IC off, smoking, taking a few turbo bolts off, smoking... Like 2 hours of it was the logistics of getting the car up on ramps after I removed the IC too. Ideally it would have better to have it on ramps first or just using jack stands, but due to the slope on the driveway, stands would have been a little dangerous. The 14 million stock heat shield bolts didn't help much either. I'd say the actual install time minus my dicking around would be about 2.5 hours or so.

Thanks Chip. I'm glad you like how it turned out. That was quite a massive install day.

Glad to hear Chip, haven't got into the Patron but that may change. I woke up to a nice self tapping bolt in my side wall

You're right, those new HP+ pads we installed should not take long to render up a future maintenance upgrade, besides, they go much better with the look of the Tarmac II's

    Alignment is scheduled for Wednesday.

I can say that even with the drop in ride height, the ride over traffic calming devices and city of A potholes is impressive over the stock shocks

Know how you feel, I just installed my coil overs today along with the rest of the parts collecting dust. Glad I know the local cops as I used the road reflectors as a slalom course. It just happened to be in front of the police station.

DBA 4000 would be a better choice for you than the 5000s I'd think.
