Yeah, the US isn't getting any of the fast Focus' from Europe in this generation. It has all but been confirmed that a hot Focus will be introduced after the new 2012 Focus is released.

Wirelessly posted (From Your Mom's House)

Some guy was able to buy a green one from a dealer in Mexico...think he wound up paying twice what he should have.

I remember that, but it was just the RS version.

Perhaps, but that still doesn't change my opinion on the matter -- the side profile of the RS500 has something wrong with it :)

the 'big-three' have long since determined that what real read-blooded american auto enthusiasts want is 2.5 ton slab sided retro throwback machines with tiny peakaboo windows and suit-of-armor helmet slit visibility that require 500 hp to haul their extra tonnage of steel up and down the by-ways...

i mean.. whats not to like in hearse sized vehicles like the new camaro and dodge charger? or paying 50k+ for a solid axle blown mustang?

one of the reasons ford, gm and chrysler have gone down the tubes is because they long ago ceded first time performance car market to asia and focused on pickups, giant soccer mom hauling suvs and retro-slugs for dad..

Because Americans in general are willing to bend over and take it. I believe it also has something to do with the popularity of racing. Americans love NASCAR...all other racing in the US has a much smaller following. Europeans enjoy and support a much wider berth of autosports, and such I feel they have a potentially more critical view of automobiles. The big three have tried to send our overpriced and sluggish monstrosities to the European market, and they failed miserably.

So essentially I blame soccer mom's and NASCAR:rofl:

BTW, are they offering free tires with every oil change? 345hp + fwd = fail
