yes, it's possible, but you're curve will be shit and it will be impractical. I've seen 400+whp VF43s, but the curve looks like a steep mountain top. So in all practicality, no
q16 and boost way outside of the efficiency range? yeah...its probably possible.... reliably...probably no...
Not worried about reliability , I wanna break the tranny anyways, and buy a 6 speed, or built 5 speed. And 2.5 block is somewhere down the road also. So with a 20g, 93 octane, what numbers should i expect? And what numbers would I expect with meth?
I don't think so. You can't rev the car enough and the stock heads WILL not allow that much flow at the higher rpms. Maybe if you push the daylights out of it......at that point you will snap those pitiful rods. You need a big turbo that can push a lot of air EARLY. For comparison my 18g made 351 hp on pump and meth. So I can see the 20g only getting around 365-370 hp on pump and meth. Now on race gas MAYBE but you'll be pushing those rods to their death.
Why would you want to break the tranny? That's like dropping 500 dollars on the ground and walking away. I know of several 5 speeds that have survived more power than you are going to make with a 20g on a 2.0l. Just don't dump the clutch or flat shift and your tranny may survive. I don't think you'll make 400 with the 20g on a 2.0. The stock heads are going to limit you big time.
I'm not going to try to break the tranny, but if it does, im in situation where i can replace it the next day, some goes for the motor, so no worries there. I just wanna be in that 300+ mark, or low 400's. Might go with 18g, we will see.
Why not just go for the 2.5 then? Sell the good tranny and the good motor. No point in being hell bent and breaking two things that work--which could be sold for money towards the new, better tranny and motor. Why break them so they are useless? You will end up spending more money.
sean (oneiguy) made 370/370 on a 20g and 93 on a 2.5l hybrid motor. technically thats over 400 at the crank, so it is possible with 2.0l heads
LOL. It's not going to happen on a 2.0L. Just save your $ and do it right the 1st time. First order is tranny.
Yeah I would like to, but got I got to have my priorities straight. Baby next month. So reacaro car seat is first.
I believe the Recaro Baby Seats are front facing, so you can't/aren't supposed to use them with a newborn.
RS - don't really know. Ped did 398 same setup. He has ewg and is a Sti. Jason - I know its not for a while.
