So I got a ticket a couple of weeks ago. On the ticket the officer wrote the wrong year for my birthdate. So when i go online to pay it, if i put my real birthdate it doesn't pull anything up. If i put the birthdate he wrote down, it does. So Is that something I could beat the ticket for? The ticket was "deserved" but I could really use the funds elsewhere right now so figured it was worth a shot. Anyone know?

Yes-- you should be able to beat it. Ask a lawyer.

i doubt the tax collector will let you off just b/c the officer wrote something down on the ticket wrong, but I could be wrong. I wouldn't proceed with a lawyer route unless taking a chance on the ticket is worth the added cost a lawyer may charge.

You can USUALLY fight for mistakes on the ticket pretty easily.

lol, knowing my luck, this is what would happen

    me: mistake on ticket
judge: were you driving the car
me: yes sir, but they made a mistake on the ticket
judge: bend over, sir, i now deem you my bitch

mistakes on the ticket that are not material to the offense will not cause it to be dismissed.
