Whats up guys been a long time hope all have been well that used to be at some of the original g2g's. Im trying to get back into the subaru world and need some advice. I went to SOG today to look at the new 2011 WRX and i fell in love. It is such an improvement over the bugeye i couldn't believe my eyes. Im really loving the lines since they added the wide body kit and made it nearly identical in looks to the sti. anywho im going to try and trade my 05 xterra in and was wondering if we still got a wrxatlanta discount or anything. I spoke with a fella named Jim there and he was very nice and gave me a quote before haggling and the car was around 27000 and some change out the door i believe. This was for a WRB 2011 that was basic as it gets no options added. I will add the extended armrest and a few other minor things.

Why hasn't subaru updated their website btw? its not even on there in the 2011 only the sti is.

I doubt they would honor a WRXatlanta discount. I don't think we have had any contact with them since SS left a couple years ago.

thanks Alex, its been awhile for sure. Is miloman and everyone still hanging around these days?

27 was before negotiating just to see what the base was. I had no idea wrxatlanta had no involvement anymore like it used to. im not sure if Gary works there or not.

Nope, milo moved off to Texas a while ago. There are still quite a few of the members from back in the day on, but a lot dont own subarus anymore

    dang man been awhile!

Kris, i do like the EVO but i guess i wonder about long term reliability compared to the subi. I feel like with a subaru you get a really bulletproof vehicle, and i love the sound of the boxer.

Brian, if you really think you are going to get another Impreza, someone posted up an Armrest Extension for sale recently. You may want to buy it from a Member here as opposed to the Stealership.

Originally bsigari62 was trying to keep it all together as a package, but with no interest, he is willing to part out. He wants $35 for an 07 Armrest Extension. Not sure if it is compatible with newer models, but for that price, definitely worth checking into.

thanks Jason if he still has it when i decide what im going to do ill see about picking it up.

2001? thats it? is it a chasis with a big sti wing? :)

heres a question, will the current gen WRX exhaust and other parts bolt up from previous years like the older ones would?

The new stuff is more legacy than impreza. And $2001 is $1 more than what Infinity of Roswell offered on the car. :)

08+ Impreza is when anything Legacy Turbo (05+) related comes into play

The deal with the dealership is that you have to know your rock bottom price. Also be prepared to walk away. It's a new car....if someone else buys it there is another one somewhere.

I helped a friend get his 2009 WRX sedan. Hadwin White was asking $29K for it. I told them that was absurd when they had the STi with the discount at the time for $30K. He said that discount was a lie....I called up WJM, he got me the sales rep over there, and they confirmed what I said. I told him I'd just as soon drive my buddy to SoJax. So they came down some. We wanted to leave with that car for $24,500. They wouldn't budge. Buddy almost gave him and I told lets go and to trust me. We left and no lie as soon as we got off the lot onto the highway the salesman called back. Said if you get the car today you can get it for $24,500 out the door.

It's all a poker game. You just have to know when and how to lay your cards down.

Buy my 08sti... $26.5k. Has 26,400 miles, nav, stoptech brakes front and rear, ss1 motor, full whiteline suspension goodies, and BC coil overs.

Not going to find a better deal then that.
