Ok so just recently I bought a V1 AP for my 03 WRX. As soon as I go to install it on my car, the AP tells me that my ECU is already being used with an Accessport. I just got off the phone with Cobb and they told me that in order to delete the flash off of my ECU, I need someone with an AP V2 for the 02-05 wrx to let me use their AP.

You would need to uninstall it from your vehicle, allow me to install it on mine, then I will immediatley uninstall your AP from my car, to clear the flash. It looks as if the previous owner just installed the stock map, instead of uninstalling.

Long story short, I need some help from a local with a V2 AP for the 02-05 model.

Im willing to drive any distance, even to your driveway.

    Thanks,

    Griffin

I'm assuming whomever you bought the car from didn't have the AP2 to go along with the car?

Nope. I bought the car off an ad on this forum a while ago, atleast a year and a half. He said the only mod was a catless up pipe. But then again, he was more of a middle man. Bought the car for the sole purpose of selling it.

So now im stuck with an ECU already registered to an AP, Cobb said to find a local with a V2 and install it on my car, then uninstall it and I should be able to use my V1.

This whole situation is a bummer.

Try contacting one of the forum sponsors -- they may have a demo unit you can use.

Topspeed apparently doesnt have an AP v2 for the 02-05 wrx, so looks like its going up for sale and ill have to get the v2.

Unless someone comes through, 6-pack to who ever can help me out w/ a v2.

I would sell the APv1 and get the V2... the old AP's are way outdated and Cobb doesn't offer any support with them. OR the other option would be to sell the V1 and get tuned open source.

I never planned on using this as my primary source of tuning, just means to load a basic stage 2 map. I dont need all the data logging capabilities and newer maps for now, but it looks like I'll be getting one regardless.
