no, most people go to car meets to hang out and meet with people, nothing immature about it. There are always a small group of dumbasses that burn out, or do lay drag but they are usually frowned upon doing so. Shit like this is what ruins it for everyone. I think if people were so amused by this the guy wouldn't be getting flamed all over the web

No, the retards who can't act civilized are immature. I occasionally make it out to car meets. I do so to meet people, check out some cars, etc. I don't try to do any island jumping or burning out when I'm there. I park my car and get out to socialize. I save whatever "stupid" things I want to do for the track.

sometimes, you're a dumbass Dana. look at the difference in age, social class, $$$, time of day, location, etc. these types of meets aren't meets, they're 'let's see how long we can sit here and do stupid shit before the cops come' hangouts you have to choose your battles. be smart about who you hang out with, the people you want to 'meet' i have no desire to go to riverside, because after the last one you, me and greg attended there were idiots doing pretty much the same thing (drag racing in the parking lot). i choose to not associate myself with those types of idiots. the same can be said for our site, is that the age group/maturity level we want representing us?? and Breel, you mean his parents' insurance. they will probably drop him, if not his parents as well. especially when/if they see the video.
Not everyone goes there with intention of "let's see how long we can sit here and do stupid shit before the cops come". A lot of us go there to just hangout with our friends, talk it out and grab something to eat afterwards. If there was another meet near by, I wouldn't go to this one. Like you said, this one is full of idiots, but we try to ignore the stupidity, but sometimes stupidity comes running right towards you, like that truck in the video. And the meet had calmed down from all the burnouts and "drag" racing for past 3 weeks or so, I guess it's hunting season or something. The meet was calm that night too, and this guy just comes out of nowhere and ruins the night for everyone else.
We all know that only poor people of low social class do stupid things in their cars. Old guys with money are always very responsible with their cars.
I beg to differ. Money really doesn't have much to do with it. I'm not loaded with money. I can't afford an STI, so I had to settle for something I could afford.....a second generation Legacy. Age really doesn't have much to do with it either. I'm still fairly young (24)..... With that being said, just because I'm young and not loaded with money.....that doesn't mean that I'm going to "act the fool" when I go out with my car. I don't pull stupid stunts, I don't drive recklessly, I'm not an ass clown at meets.....etc.... Stupid people can be any age, income, social class, location, etc....Perfect example would be the red Ferrari driven by an older male (40s or so) I saw on Barrett a few months ago. Obviously he wasn't young or poor....it was the middle of the day as well. He decided it was a good idea to fly through traffic weaving in and out of cars....

With the whole thing being recorded, I'd definitely try to sue the guy for ALOT more money than the damages caused by his dumb ass. I really feel bad for the STi owner. I have a black one, but his white and gold combo is one of the nicest. Now that shit is gonna be noted on his carfax if he ever decides to sell it.

common sense is free .... have some! age and money have nothing to do with it. If you wanna hang out with a few friends get a bite to eat and BS about your cars by all means do it. However, if you choose to go to the same place at the same time as the local jackass meet then don't be surprised when the parade of asshats begins. You're allowed to be stupid in this country.
