cut way more than expected. 2 cuts on each side. Doc said I'm healing way faster than expected and whatever I'm doing to keep doing it as at this rate no physical therapy will be needed. I work out my hands every night to get movement and strength up.....getting better every day.
broke both bones in my forearm on christmas eve. Surgery on christmas morning to put in titanium plates and screws.
Dang man hate to hear that. Hope you recover well will out much pain...I had to take my mother to the hospital on Christmas night.
I was expecting an arm all splayed open, what a let down. Guess you missed all the nerve endings with that nasty break?
Negative. If you touch my ring finger I also feel it in my pointer. But everyday the feeling goes more 'correct'. Doc said my nerves have to totally repair and reroute. He did best he could in surgery but apparently there was an extreme amount of trauma and carnage due to the nature of the break. He kept saying I could not have broken it any worse.
Didn't flip it. It tilted on side wheels and rather than holding on and letting it I threw out my hand and kept it from doing so. Don't regret doing so a bit....my 7 yr old niece was buckled up riding shotgun so for all we know I saved her from getting hurt. When it tilted over the rollcage on the cart landed on my forearm. We were going ~20 mph.
Ouch, get better. Keep the PT option open. I broke my ankle last April and Dr said I prop wouldn't need it but was never happy with the strength and flex. Been doing PT for the past month and it has made a huge improvement. Gook luck.
I'll do my own physical therapy. I have a friend that is a physical therapist and he is sending me all what I need to do.
