Alright, so some of you may recall that I posted a WTB thread for a bugeye driver's seat... Well, AllPro had one, but I never made it down to ATL to pick it up. Now that I'm preparing for this year's racing season, I should be heading down to ATL for a tune, and will pick up some other seat for my STI. My main question is, are there any Sparco, Corbeau, etc seat dealers in the area? I'm a big guy (6'1" 270 lbs) so I'm pretty particular about my seats.
treehouse racing in chatanooga best thing to do is go to a track day event early in the morning. Look for drivers close to your size and ask to sit in their car. Ask them their likes and dislikes about the seat, make a list and go from there.
Do you have any info for Treehouse Racing? The only "Treehouse Racing" I found was based out of Nashville and makes parts for BMWs, particularly E30s. That's a good idea about the track day... But I'd still have to drive over 2 hours to get to a track and there's no guarantee I'd find someone willing to let me have a seat (as opposed to calling a store/shop and knowing what they have on hand before I head there).
Check out Discovery parts. Ron will help you out if you need to get something locally. We can get you Recaro, Sparco, Racetech, Bride, and Cobra.
I just got back from Discovery Parts, he gave me the lead on Treehouse, another option is get in with the local SCCA/NASA crowd and ask about trying a seat.
Thanks I'll check them out. I guess I'll have to call Discovery for the contact info for Treehouse. Thanks!
It's the same Treehouse Racing, like I said before get in with some of the SCCA/NASA locals. As with everything else nobody keeps stock on the floor so your best bet is go test fit some different models in someone else's car first. No since in buying a seat that doesn't fit right or doesn't fit in your car.
