Here is a befor e picture of the garage.

Marty, the guy who did techlords floor is coming out on Monday to do mine.

Anyone who has been to my house knows that Marty has his work cut out for him prepping it.

The only other time it has been that clean was right before I moved in.

did you treat the oil stains? It doesn't look as bad as it should. haha

  8. Kokopelli

    Kokopelli Active Member

Thats because all the spackle from putting the drywall up is still coating the floor.

It's actually a decent sized garage but the angle I took the picture from was bad.

The epoxy is down now but there is still one more coat to go tomorrow. I'll post another picture when I get home tonight,

Nice! That looks awesome! How much prep work was done to clean the floor?

If you don't mind me asking, what was the total price for your project and what is your square footage?

Did you do the diamond grinding or did Marty do it?

  27. Kokopelli

    Kokopelli Active Member

He did it. Very easy to mess up the job if you don't have experience doing it.

My garage is a hair under 500 sqft. 1200 was the final cost.

Rick got an amazing deal on his while I got a great deal. The reason Rick got the deal he did was that Marty was heading to Vegas and was eager to get a little extra cash in his pocket before he left.

My floor was also a mess and required a little more prep work than Rick's so that added a little extra too.

Oh do I wish I had a nice garage. Sadly I can't get one where I want it due to building codes and will have to stick with a carport.

But I love my 3 acres of land :wiggle:

So what you're saying is you'll get one hell of a deal if you just send Marty to vegas for a few days?

still thats less than $2.50 a sq/ft. you can barely buy the epoxy kit at lowes/home depot and do it yourself for that much. thats retarded cheap

I've had my car for 10 years and I don't have a journal for it but now I do for my garage.

This is a picture from the outside. The garge is a little over 22 ft deep. Plenty of room to get the car in and the engine hoist without having to open the door. Its even easier now that when I had the door replaced they raised the track a foot.

Looks like now would be a good time to install a splash guard of sorts along the bottom 6" of the drywall.

Dang it looks like you need to invest in a new roof....not garage flooring.

Been looking to do this to my garage and for the price you paid I'd have to consider having someone else do it. Looks great :)
