How difficult is it to install a turbo timer? I just got a Greddy Turbo Timer today from NASIOC and was wondering if I should be able to do it, or have someone professional install it?
I did an Apex turbo timer install pretty easily. It had some very poor instructions but, if I remember right, I just had to use a vampire clip for the power line (might have been ground?) and then it connected directly to an unused cable end. It was an easy install with so so instructions (just used the pics)
^^^LOL very true about their instructions. It's pretty simple. IIRC I installed an Apex i TT in <1 hr
quick question: I don't need to splice or cut any wires besides the speed sensor correct? Does anyone know the pinout for the speed sensor 2004 STI? Plan on installing it today.
Thanks! Also do you have trouble arming your alarm with the TT? or did you have to remove some wiring?
Thanks for ya'lls advice and help. Just got done with the installation. Everything seems to work fine. I think I would have got done sooner, had there been more details pictures or instruction where everything was. I spent like 15 minutes looking where to plug up everything, then more time taking things apart like the center console for the ebrake. Also, I figured how to bypass the alarm so it will arm itself when the engine is running. I patched a relay to both security modules (yes two security modules on opposite ends of the dash board). One was ontop of the fuse box, and the other behind the glove box. Needless to say I tricked the ECU thinking the car turned "off" while the TT is running in order to arm the car. Overall, pleased with my results even if they say we don't need TT for our cars because of the water cooling. I still like it =)
