Thats an understatement  and apparently yall have never worked on a car, cause the only way I do it is while drinking. hell we put a motor in 07Ltd#767's STI with a BAC over .2
Wait you helped drew put in his motor but not us putting in your tranny? Oh and wash your car, i'm sure its dirty. I agree I only work on cars with an open beer close by. Rule #1 during dissassembly you can drink as much as you want. assembly I would scale it back a tad.
1. Is it possible for anyone to do a leak down tests at event? I'm willing to pay fair price. 2. Is anyone capable of installing my meth kit? If not, i don't want to drag it out there for no reason. Just asking in advance, don't be a dick. 0.0
as shringles included, I was out of town when yall put the tranny back in my car. and yes...my car is filthy right now. It sits at the airport all the time and its disgusting. will be washing it this weekend when im back home.
Or you could go up to AllPro on Sunday and get FkUiHdCncr of Eco Auto Clean to do it for you....just make sure you let him know ahead of time. http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showpost.php?p=396092&postcount=24 http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30147&highlight=eco
pretty sure I said that... And that's coming FROM the owner of the lot/shop we're lucky enough to use. Let's not piss them off too much.
Ive drank tons of times while turning wrenches. How do you think ive learned how to work on cars? Lol. Ive hurt myself too many times drinking and working so I dont do it anymore Sent from my Android powered HTC HD2
i would guess no. They dont want alcohol, so an educated guess tells me no 420 lol Sent from my Android powered HTC HD2
Why am I not allowed to come to the Install Day? I do not approve of discrimination. It's because I am Jewish, isn't it?
Don't have anything that needs installed, but as said in the other thread, I'd like to come. Have a decent selection of tools, and would be glad to help out some fellow members. I'm planning to be there as of now, but let me know if that would present a problem. - Jonathan
Might bring my springs to be installed on the Spring install day....depends on if I can get them done before then or not
Would installing an up-pipe, downpipe and someone doing a pnp on the VF39 be to much to ask, for one day? For m 05' STi. I already got a base map ready and that will get me to the dyno.
Not yet, I still have one cat on there. I'll get another downpipe that's one piece and deletes both cats. Since we've got everthing out, I have a Grimspeed up pipe I might as well install. Might just do ELH while I'm at it also. I know the STi doesn't have a cat on the up pipe from factory.
That grimmspeed up pipe was a waste of money. You will gain nothing with it over stock other than a few hours worth of labor. Sell it and put it towards your Equal Lenth Headers.
Are you talking about porting the wastegate hole or actually taking the turbo off and doing a full pnp on it? PNP the wastegate hole isnt too bad of a job with just the downpipe off...if youw ant a full pnp of the turbo, you would have to remove the turbo and take it somewhere than has the tools or send it off. That is not an easy 30 minute job.
Also a reminder to anyone interested in using/renting a lift! If you think you need it, let us know and we'll put your name on the list! Do not wait until the day of to realize you need the lift because all the spots will be taken!
I'm going to be installing a short throw shifter, but I'm unsure if I'll need a lift or not? Will I have to remove the spring pin thats under the car close to the trans, or can I do everything from inside the cab (the 12mm bolts). I've replaced the linkage joint before so I know for the most part what I'm getting into, Ive just never done a short throw before so I'm unsure of whats included edit : no lift needed
I'll see if I can swing a trip out that Sunday... I've got a RSB and rear strut spacers waiting to go in... Will airtools be handy (I don't have any) or are we wrenching it by hand? Might save it for my buddy's garage with the airtools, and just come to hang out.
Ill have my air tools with me. Look for a blue 95 legacy on silver 18s Sent from my Android powered HTC HD2
I will be doing a front sway bar and endlinks. A lift will make it really quick but I don't NEED one. If someone wants to split an hour with me.....
Anyone in the Hiram/Dallas/Douglasville/Powder Springs area want to me with me and a few other Subarus to ride up to Allpro together?
Was really hoping to make it but my girlfriends nephew is being dedicated. Sorry dude. Can't wait until next meet though'
I'll be coming from Villa Rica...don't know if I'll have anything to install but I'll bring tools, a camera and an offer of help to anyone who needs it!
Awesome We are meeting at the Hiram Wal-Mart at 9:00 - 9:15am and rolling out at about 9:30. You're pretty close to us. Jump on 278 for a few minutes and you're there. We will be in the far west side of the parking lot (behind were the AutoZone is). You're more then welcome to ride up there with us. We are on your way so stop by and cruise up there with us!
Yea that's only about 20 mins from me (wrong direction but no biggie). Which route are you taking out to AllPro?
Not sure. If I'm leading the way - we will take whatever way my GPS leads us. However, If someone else wants to take lead, thats fine and I would rather follow someone who actually knows where they are going.
fastest is almost always just 120->75S->285E->400N. last time I went up there I just took 120->9 the entire way to save some mileage shortest http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Jimmy+Lee+Smith+Pkwy&daddr=GA-9+S%2FAtlanta+Hwy&hl=en&geocode=FdEoBQIdArDy-g%3BFbQdCQIdqmr6-g&mra=ls&sll=33.878397,-84.385986&sspn=0.855098,1.465302&ie=UTF8&ll=34.019657,-84.382553&spn=0.426842,0.732651&z=11 fastest http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Jimmy+Lee+Smith+Pkwy&daddr=33.9081139,-84.4773254+to:GA-9+S%2FAtlanta+Hwy&hl=en&geocode=FdEoBQIdArDy-g%3BFZFlBQIdc_r2-imXWskzphH1iDEIJgtYLTwO2Q%3BFbQdCQIdqmr6-g&mra=ls&sll=33.878397,-84.385986&sspn=0.855098,1.465302&ie=UTF8&ll=34.019657,-84.382553&spn=0.426842,0.732651&z=11&via=1
There will be 3 lifts available. If those 3 fill up, we can clear off 2 more for a total of 5 lifts if needed. All work to be performed outside and underneath a car must be supported by jackstands. No exceptions. We have some jackstands here, but if you plan on being underneath your car, bring them if you have them. We are looking forward to seeing everyone out for the event, and hope to have a fun and safe install day.
Good call. I can bring an extra pair. Hey, was wondering if the shop would have minor components available - exhaust gaskets, bolts, etc. Would be nice to know if we should come with extra parts in case something breaks or doesn't fit quite right, or if we'll be able to toss you a few bucks for minor parts. (Anything left after the garage cleaning sale?) Oh yea, by the way, did you guys end up moving or are you still at 1040?
