just called watershed. cabins 1-12 are booked for a wedding :eek3: What she said was available to us: Ridge Runner - can fit 14 people :eek3: $295 for the weekend Lake Fontana $270 Cabin in the Clouds $235 These cabins are about 5-6 minutes from "Rocky View" cabin, so we won't be close, but we'll still be close. Ridge Runner has 4 bunk beds in one room  :squint: Cabin in the clouds is pretty much identical to Watershed 11, which is where we stayed in Sept...just in a different part of their property. That and Lake Fontana View are both in a gated community. I'm thinking we do cabin in the clouds. Or Ridge Runner...but we have to get a lot of people in there to help keep the costs down.
Like I said on NASIOC... The only downside to those cabins is there is no internets. I say we go for "Cabin in the Clouds".
Oh I know. I have been up there a lot over the years. Some of their cabins have internet access so it was something I noticed.
this area has cell coverage as it's just outside of Bryson City and in more of a 'civilized' area. that's what the girl over the phone told me.
Bump. I'll be there. The EvoM and RX7 guys will also be up there that weekend. Probably others, I'm sure.
http://killboy.blogspot.com/2011/04/couple-more-things.html Read the last paragraph... Anyone headed to the Dragon proper now?
Sadly, even with it being 4/1, I would not put it past the TN or NC to actually take the joke and run with it.
Pretty awesome, Brett! Looks like you guys had fun. Are these the only pictures you took? Or just the "worthwhile" ones?
I didn't take a lot of pictures. We've been pretty busy relaxing and enjoying a gorgeous cabin and drnknig bere! We had to leave early but it was really nice meeting everyone. We have some really great folks within the Subaru (and/or Acura/Audi) community.
He backed in in front of me(at the falls). The bastage. Also, the 2011 STI was amazing in bone stock form. The handling was superb.
I'm counting the florida crew that came up. The one guy from Texas, and the rest of us. But the minis put everyone to shame this weekend. 600+ Minis were up there!
Takes about 1-1.5 hours to get there from where we stayed. It is even further if you stay closer to the Dragon proper.
