Oh the drama queens... talk a lot of shit but when it comes down to it none of you will man up to the challenge. bunch of pussies
I agree. This has so much potential for some very good competition and lots of fun and laughs with friends and enemies alike.
This will never happen, as The Sheriff is scared of Doug's mad tyte fabrication skills... But the idea does make Matt Ball's panties wet... That said.. What about just having an old fashioned rumble?
Other Subaru shops in Atlanta competition.....maybe if we were having a spelling bee. That said my turbo should be here this week, everything else is being coated. Should be able to reassemble everything this weekend. Looking forward to taking it to Roebling to test on the 19th.
Ok, I LOL'ed. Forget the rules and let's just battle this out on the track. Topspeed can bring whatever GT-R they want, and use whatever driver they want. We'll bring whatever GT-R we want, and I will be driving it. Nuff said. I can arrange a cost effective shared, but non-public track session at Road Atlanta. TGP is too small and technical and doesn't let these cars stretch their legs. Roebling is far away and not that exciting. RA is a 1hr drive or less for most of all of us, and spectators will be welcome. Strap the Traqmates in the cars and go for it. How about it TS? You've always said you'd crush us in a head to head challenge. Now you've got a chance to prove it.
I think the rules would make it fair. A head to head with similar cars will really tell who's better than who.
I like the idea of the $2011 challenge... Takes a lot of originality, skill and 'out of the box' thinking to build something that performs well for $2,011.
I agree I just think that time wise its prohibitive. That's one of my favorite articles every year though its a great contest
Exactly. Both shops have cars and drivers ready to go. This cost next to nothing in time and effort at this point. Matt are you the official spokesperson for TS? We will need to coordinate times and dates and details and such. To make it even more fair and beyond reproach...when each car comes back from it's session, the opposing team takes the traqmate and downloads the data under the supervision of the opposing team. That way nobody can cry foul that the data is swapped or what have you.
LOL....you think its going to be close enough that we will need data to show we are faster.....I don't. But sure that sounds like a plan.
Welcometoshiftpoint.com will provide media coverage. We have enough cameras to follow both teams simultaneously
I'm quite sure that Leh known RA as well as anywhere. He had event wins and track records at RA years ago. Siegel
this looks to be shaping up nicely. but i do agree, i feel the community needs to benefit from this somehow. seeing as we are 'hosting' the arrangement of said event. haha.
Give it a rest, Brian...reread my post. I never said that. I said licensed racecar driver. I am certainly not a professional race car driver..just an average joe. http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showpost.php?p=380153&postcount=19 And by all means, when you get the opportunity to drive an LFA, feel free to tell the story however you want.
Quick question. Did the customer you were talking about already take delivery of his LFA? If so, he was in the Bistro to eat the other night with Scott Pruett, brought the LFA. I didn't realize Scott made wine. Also, beautiful car.
dude! I tried to get SubieSport to let me do a story like this witht he Atlanta shops years ago. This should be fun!
