Dang I knew someone would build one one of these days. Had the idea but people wanted to charge and arm and leg for R&D. Might have to rethink my setup for the next motor. Good find.

I did it back in 04\05. There are lots of problems with running a setup like that. While it looks like he has solved a few of them, theres still a few things that concern me.

Also, the GT3071 may be the dumbest turbo ever to use on that kit.

What were the issues that you ran into with Jeremy's setup?

Theres always an issue with the oil drain, you have to use a pump to get it out of the turbo and it actually creates a few issues.

If the pump fails you are going to push oil out of the seals on the turbo.

Blow through maf is a bad idea as well, the other thing is its sitting down kind of low and that concerns me at the track as you are putting the turbo closer to debris being kicked up by other cars.

It's not 'that' low. It's well above the oil pan.

This car is at Epic right now. Was getting tuned by Robbie. Last I heard was 380/380 at 20.5 psi no AVCS timing and very conservative timing overall.

I'd like to see Topspeed tune this setup.....maybe ya'll should contact Killerb and tune a before and after for them.

    I like the thick FMIC.

We just did a break in tune on a stock car with a front mount, topspeed\ams turbo kit, GTX3076R, etc.

It made 374whp at 14.4lbs of boost

Arguements aside Robbie is on a Mustang dyno.

But again it's fluff imo as my car only made 5 hp more with Robbies tune on TS dyno.

My new setup is pretty normal actually, RR1, Stock Heads, GTX3076R, AMS Front Mount.

    Nothing really extreme

Its not stock but its not like its a super crazy build, very obtainable for other owners. We do at least one build a month based off this setup.

    Extreme no. Stock again no.

Now back on topic about the killerb kit and not some other kit.

For the record, I hope it works, I hope the thing turns out to be amazing.

Its a great idea and the execution looks pretty good so far.

I agree on the turbo choice. But it's vband so any other vbanded kit will and should work.

Thank you for answering my question. Would they not be running some sort of diffuser under the front of the car anyway? They could have venting on the diffuser / skid plate that could allow some air to vent out from around the turbo as well?

Generally venting on the bottom of the diffuser would be considered an air inlet as its a high pressure area, to vent air out you would have to do it out of the hood. Regardless there would need to be lots of testing.
