hello. i recently spun a bearing and will be needing to take my block and heads to a machine shop. well im not very familiar with any kind of machine shop so im asking if anyone knows of a good machine shop that is familiar with subaru motors.
I keep hearing good reviews on Goza Machine shop in Acworth. Might be far from ya but they helped get my Brother in law's 930 motor together...650+whp.
do you guys do work for battleground? and if i were to bring you the block with the heads and timing belt accessories still on how much would it be to check everything out for damage?
Oh, most machine shops don't deal with engines that aren't torn down. They prefer to get them in short or long block form with all accesories removed. If you need it torn down or checked I suggest you bring it to Topspeed
i talked to b reel through PMs and he said it would be better to bring it to him like that if i dont have the tools for cam sprockets and what not
I'm sure he can get them off. Ball Engines has a set of factory cam gear tools as well as a set of the Cobb tools. We also have them at TopSpeed.
