As soon as I hit 1,000 in the car...I took it up to N.GA for a run. I just ordered the suction cup mount for my GoPro HD's to get some better angles... Can't get the embed to work... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTCama-_qkA
It's in the works. The biggest issue I had up there was body roll. The RCE sways should take care of that. Coilovers would be the next step in that process, but a couple of other things are coming first.
I'm actually betting on that. I would like to lower the ride height a little bit in the future and still have adequate suspension travel (that negates just going with springs).
If you still go with coilovers, be careful on choice, as some of the more budget ones lack what I think a lot of people call 'droop' or essentially shock travel when the shock unloads/conforms to a dip in the road. At least I noticed a large travel distance between stock struts and the coilovers I got when just jacking up the car. With the coilovers i can get one whole side off the grand just lifting the car from the front jack point just behind the front tires (makes tire rotation muuch faster). I don't have actual numbers, but I suspect a good strut setup may have more physical travel over most road oriented coil overs.
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.975 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105) I've got rec tarmac 2's with the default spring rates. I've been told that they're on the longer side of suspension travel, and I see them drop about 1.5-2inches when I jack the car up, and I've seen a subie on bc's that didn't seem to drop much at all
