Have an 04 STI, already have a set of Deats 850 CC sidefeeds.

The only reason i know of to convert to topfeeds is because of more readily availble big top feed injectors for big hp. 850cc injectors will be all i will ever need and/or want. Is it worth the time, trouble, and tuning cost to convert to topfeeds?

The spray patterns on the ID1000's are far better than any sidefeed injector.

Ok so the spray pattern is better, what does that net me in real world driving?

For all the merits of the topfeeds, do you think it would be worth the trouble and cost?

There is no reason to change injectors just to get Top Feed. Unless you need to go bigger.

What if you get a rotated kit and shooting for 600whp?
ID1000 topfeed is what I would need?
What's a good kit if we go topfeed to install the ID1000s?
    Stainless steel lines?
    Aeromotive intank fuel pump?

    What Turbo Kit

    What Engine

I would skip the kit and do it the right way with topfeed tgvs and fuel rails.

Stainless lines, If you are shooting for 600hp then yes for sure.

Aeromotive intank should be fine for gas.

Do you not plan on running E85 at any point?

Still haven't decided on what pistons or going stroker kit.

Hmm, haven't thought about running E85 yet but it might on the list.

a guess only. 600 hp. id be looking at id2000. especially if i was considering e85. id1000 seems a bit short to me for that level of power.

1000cc injectors will make it to 600hp, but you will need to turn the fuel pressure up. Id 1000s are great because they actually work better at a higher fuel pressure.

If you plan to go E85 then they won't be enough.

If you have no plans for going bigger then not worth the cost. If you plan on running a larger turbo, going rotated, or want to run E85 on the current setup then you'll need to go with topfeed ID1000's or bigger.
