tranny sound

    I think my throwout bearing is going out. when clutch is just starting to grab i get a whinning sound when fully relased it stops. any ideas?

    possibly the throw out bearing.

    is it like the whine you get when you go too fast in reverse?

    You clutch kit that you bought should have both the throw out and pilot bearing

    Not all of them ship with replacements FWIW.

    My kit came with everything im just worried that I might be replacing the wrong thing.I got the car used and I dont know if the clutch has ever been done.I figured I should get it done anyways. Yea its kinda like the sound when going in reverse

    Its probably the throw out or pilot.
