Have fun scraping it with a razor blade for hours. I remember pulling Tint from a friends car years ago after he got a ticket, and we had to sit there for hours with a razor blade and just scrape that Glue Residue off. Not fun.

I hope there is a easier way, some type of spray that would soften up the glue... or something. Ill try GooGone, who sells that crap?

publix, kroger, target, walmart...most everyone :)

ironically, you can talk to a tint shop, they might have something stronger and easier for when they redo cars.

Be careful on the back glass if you wanna keep your rear defroster. I'd say pay the $50 bucks or whatever and get the tint place to do it. Try have a steam gun or whatever.

On the back window you want to use something like simple green to soften up the glue. Do it in the sun and cover it really good, let it sit for 15 minutes, apply some more then use a nylon scotch bright pad to get it off. It is a PITA on the rear glass and if you are not careful, you will remove the rear defroster.

The other widows I would just use simple green or something with ammonia in it and a razor blade. You dont need anything like zippo fluid or goo gone. A simple razor blade and strong cleaner will take it off just as easily. Just buy a few rolls of paper towels.

I just took it to the tint guy to redo the whole car.

140.00, that includes taking of the sticky stuff and rest of tint off. 35 in the front 20 in the back.

I use to use 3m citrus cleaner. It's heavy duty industrial stuff that removed glue. You'll have to spray it a couple of time to get the residue out. Be careful on some plastic stuff, it will melt it.

Lacquer thinner. But I guess it's moot now.
