That's ~40 minutes on backroads and another 10-15 from where I live to that starting point. I try to stay away from hour long drives in one direction on the weekends...unless there is a 100% chance that I am getting laid.
That's true, I commute from kennesaw to Milton everyday and it's about 45 min cutting through back roads to save mileage. I don't really need anything installed so depending what I have going on on whatever weekend this is (and how much gas money I have) I'll attend.
Just a quick question. If i bring a Short throw shifter with front and rear bushings and a rear sway bar, would there be enough tools, and know-how to get it done? or should i just pay a shop...
Bring whatever hand tools you have. Between myself any other people that show up, I'm sure whatever tool you need can be found. As far as know how, a shifter and bushings isn't too bad. Neither is the rear sway bar. I'm sure we can get you taken care of. I suggest you reserve some lift time because it would make both the RSB and shifter A LOT easier to do. I did my shifter and bushings at home on jackstands (after dark as well) out in the driveway. It sucked doing it without a lift

Talk to me about it. I'm organizing lift times. Just give me a time and I'll schedule you in. Lift time / inside shop time will include my tech help if needed. I'll update the original post with some info. For anyone who is interested in reserving lift time, just shoot me a PM about it. Lets try and get cars on and off the lift as quick as possible to allow lift time for other people as well.
I'll be there - I've got front struts to swap, and maybe some audio/accessory installs to bring. Sent from my Evo Shift using Tapatalk
Looking forward to seeing everyone..... however, I see you every day anyways subarusti4life....wait, your s/n doesn't even make sense because you got rid of your Subaru and bought an Audi.
anyone bringing things to sell or anyone going with a wish list to buy? i was going to bring a few things if thats ok, make it a mini swap meet too
Someone like me...if its bigger then the one I have on now....and if I can make it fit somehow. I was serious when I was asking about your old parts. If I can make them fit my car then I'll probably get them from you
As long as someone has the tools to do the VCGs, it shouldn't be a problem. Just need a calibrated torque wrench and a floor jack to jack up the motor.
I have a torque wrench....that i've actually never used. You're more then welcome to use it as long as it makes its way back to me when you're done with it. I also have several floor jacks at the shop
Anyone know how to take the Door cards off a GR? i can't seem to figure it out... just another thing to check out on the install day
Hey Alex, if you're coming tomorrow, think you could toss some wrxatlanta stickers and spotted cards in the car with you? You gave me a sticker once and a tshirt way back in like '08, but the sticker got misplaced and I haven't gotten another once since. Thanks!
I'll be bringing a strut bar, red caliper paint, obp scoop, spare tire well 12 enclosure and other little crap if anyone wants to make me an offer, you'd be apprised what if take for it Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
I've got stock 13mm RSB, full 4-corners '04 WRX wagon strut/spring/tophat combo, two rear '05 OBS struts & springs, and some other little interior odds & ends. I also have a yakima roof bike mount (tray and frame arm) that I just found in the shed that I don't need. I can bring it if anyone's interested...
Feel free to bring your old parts and barter / sell or whatever. I'm loading up a van of all my Subaru parts to bring up (I need them to be at the shop anyways...not at home). Somebody should by my lone WRX wheel lol
I was thinking bring old Subaru parts because someone may need them. Other then that....i really don't care On a side note, the tires here are not for sale...as they are no my tires to sell. Just wanted to get that out there before anyone asks edit : ooooo post number #100!
