I bought new belts the other day from the dealership. Alternator belt goes on fine and part numbers match. AC belt doesn't go on and part numbers don't match. On my invoice it says A/C belt 73323AC011 replaced by part number 73323AC000. Can anyone confirm this? I realize that it's a pita to get on but I have the tensioner fully loosened and even slipped the old belt back on just to make sure I didn't mess something up. It seems the 2 belts are pretty close if not the same. Kinda hard to tell as the old belt is carrying the shape of the pulleys and the new belt is a circle. Any advice if this is the right belt if so any tips on getting it on that I'm missing?

I wonder if they replaced the old part number with the new stretch to fit belt like comes on the 08 and up cars

I had a similar thing happen with my bugeye, except it was from advanced auto or something. I took it back and went to the dealer and got the same belt, but eventually got it on. Ridiculous.

Yes finally. After I cussed out the parts dept of Jay Subaru here in columbus over a 12mm nut that they were gonna make me wait a week to get or I could pay the 4.5 hours of labor for them to replace it. They suck I will never go back there. Ill ride to atl to pick up parts or take my car for service before I will give my money to the swindlers at Jay Subaru.
