Beautiful early Sunday morning dawns upon us not with oh so sweet bird chirps, rather automotive gods clearing their throats through tail pipes of our cars/bikes as we culture Atlanta.

A slow cruise through Midtown/Downtown to enjoy the crisp morning while tempting to disturb the early morning calmness with blip of the throttle. Then let it rip as we dry the morning dew off with "Speed & Mischief" on deserted Roads of Atlanta.

After having such success with our first Run, we are proud to bring it back to you again. Our first thoughts were to make it quarterly event, but seems like nobody wants to wait to put Pedal to the Metal at the crack of dawn with a grin on their face and tail pipes singing a perfect harmony of automotive bliss. Early morning air never smelled so fresh with a hint of 93 octane in it >:).

Each Run will be initiated from a different location, and each route will be different from the last one.

Refinement+Elegance+Dedication+Daring+Creativity = Is the formula for this Private event to cater our wildest automotive desires while executing it in perfection.

To Register: Email SpeedandMischief@gmail.com with Full name, picture of vehicle you will be bringing, number of passengers, and contact number. Space is limited.

-Pre & Post Run Snacks & Breakfast & Refreshments will be provided to all the attendees.
-$25 Per Person (May go down as we finalize the Menu).

I do map out the streets/highways before hand to ensure we have a bump free ride.

that would be 1 Lap of rush hour lo

Where's the real track racing? Where's the autocrossing? What does this have to do with rally (one of the tags is rally)?

This sounds exactly like a road rally, therefore having rally as one of the keywords is appropriate.

meh rally = dirt.....lots of dirt

Rally is also a timed run between two points. Starting at Point A, the goal is to get to Point B in exactly X time. The winner is determined to be the party that arrives at the destination closest to X's exact time.

I would like to someday try a WRXatlanta Road Rally. I just don't know how good of an idea that is. I can see a lot of speeding tickets that day, which is obviously not good.

we've seen the end results of your "tarmac" runs... was that not your driveway 50 yards past the ditch you landed in?

We should do a WRXATL rally, I will happily volunteer to organize it. It's not as bad as you think man. As long as we have a good mature bunch of crowd, which is almost everyone here. We should stay out of trouble. Past 3 Midnight Cruise with over 50 cars in each, covering 75+ miles each, we had 0 speeding tickets or any other trouble with enforcements.

this made me , no offense. But lets keep the party rolling now. I would love to see a strong WRXATL turn out.

I was 30 miles from home ya ginger redneck. I'll see if I can't snap a pic today. The gravel and crap washing down is worse and worse after each rain storm. It rained all day yesterday and that turn is a royal mess.

Unless you set it up like a scavenger hunt and give time penalties for people that get to the finish line too early. Have clues that test people's intellect(read: ability to search for info on smart phones) for finding and reaching all of the checkpoints in a good order.

Make the goal to reach all of the checkpoints in a minimum amount of time (to discourage speeding). Winner is the person who gets all of the checkpoints and reaches the finish line first.

    ---------------
One lap of Atlanta, please do this at 7pm on the last Friday of the month :naughty:
There are never empty roads in Midtown and lowered cars suck for anything worth driving/seeing around town.
And if you do this too early the timed lights are going to kill you. I can just imagine a bunch of showcars sitting at an empty redlight in O4W or EAV just waiting for a green that is only long enough for 10 cars to get through.

The ride will start at 7am, we are going to see how Sunday morning fairs us. If enough interest and attendees register, I will probably get a Police escort to block the local streets in route and red lights (as done in Midnight Cruise).

As of now only 2 days a left till this event. I would love to see some suby community out. If you haven't register please do so now. Last minute registration probably won't go through.

What's involved with getting police to block for events like this? Just curious? Payment in the form of doughnuts?

Lol only if it was that easy. I'd get em by dozens. 1 Motorcade (1 Bike officer) is $150hr just for escort not block off. Block off goes in $$$$ depending on length of street. A proper escort requires 2 motorcades.

I know y'all love burning some 93 Octane. I know it's early, I know it's on your day off, but 1 Sunday you can make it.

    Here's little motivation:
2010 and 2012 GTRs, E60 2010 M5, E60 Dinan M5 with 5.7l Stroker, Boosted E36 M3, Modded BMW 135i, Modded 335xi, Ferrari 360 Modena or RR Phantom, Fully Built Camaro SS, LS1 FD RX-7, Mazdaspeed3 Gt30 upgraded, WRX Hybrid Brog Warner S256 Fitted, Fully Carbon Fiber R1....to name few vehicles coming.

Not many times you get a chance to cruse with such diversity of cars.

Well mother nature tired, but wasn't able to stop Dawn Run II. Rain kept some of the attendees from coming, safety first, and I am with it too. Event went on as scheduled, we had a small group and couldn't have for a better group. Nice, elegant, classy, and wild cars with owners passionate about having fun, rain or shine. From start till end it was nothing but, automotive bliss.

I can only imagine the confused/surprised look on regular commuters face, as we "passed" them by consisted of E92 M3's & 335i, Supercharged M3, 997 Carrera S, Record holding Stock Turbo GTR, Modded G8, STI's, and others. Few...most....all of us paid a visit to the other end of the Speedometer, it's truly a great place. In the end everyone got back safe, without tickets, & happy...Mission accomplished.

All the proceed from today's run are being donated to D.A.V.A.I charity. I would like to personally thank everyone who showed up today, even though it was raining. Hat's off to y'all. Please leave some feedback on your experience.
