Great article. I thought it was really interesting how the increased caster is actually in response to the geometry changes.
They look good....hope they actually last and stay accurate for you. Prosport is known for losing accuracy and reliability.
This won't be for everyone...but I like it. I have never really liked the light silver in the interior of the WRX. It doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the dark interior and it scratches incredibly easy. So...I started looking into ways I could paint or cover it to change things up a little bit. I ended up using the 1080 Scotchptint carbon vinyl from 3M. It is easier to work with than Di-Noc and the finish looks better in my opinion. I just did the JDM radio bezel and center console. I'll probably start there as I don't want to over do it...
That looks really good. Is that a flat black that you used on the silver that goes from door to door and over the AC controls? Did I miss that one a few pages back?
That is stock. I haven't done anything to the panel that goes across the dash and around the AC controls.
Thanks guys. A lot of work goes into the car so the feedback rocks. One more from the set...not sure quite were I was going with it...
I hate this thread. Makes me regret getting a sedan Just kidding, Your car is progressing quickly! And your photography is good! Are you still on stock springs/struts?
We ended up rolling the rears because they would lightly scrape under really hard hits. It wasn't even leaving marks but I didn't want to chance it. The new suspension is going to bring the car down 15mm anyway so it was good to do.
Made some progress at the dyno today at TopSpeed. Run 1 is the Torqued Performance in Detroit slightly modified stage 2 map I was running.
Holy crap! nice numbers! are they both OTS maps? Edit* Nvm, see that its TS tuned  Id be super happy with those numbers! Stage 2 here i come!
Today was the first day on. I didn't want to pay for a run when I knew I was going to have to do it soon anyway. Stage 1 was the Cobb AP then today we started with the map I was already running.
Dont they do a baseline run or something when doing the protune? Which would have been with the stage 1 OTS? Man those wheels look gooooooood :jerk:
The proper way to do it would be to baseline it before I had the downpipe on. Since we didn't have those numbers...it was really irrelevant. Besides...this is my new baseline for when warranty is up...
That makes me want to go stage 2 so bad ><. With my luck my engine would implode as soon as I did it tho lol.
Wow Doug really didn't do much more power wise over the Torqued Performance map. Just a little beefier in the mid range. Cool what you wanna do after the warranty runs out?
looks good to me, comes in quicker and stays there longer. You can only push stock so far before things go bad...
I didn't say it was bad.....the change wasn't extreme like most of his tunes. Which means the previous tune was pretty good to start with.
You can really feel the difference in the car and it is a safer map for the motor. Eric at Torqued did what he could for me in the interim as the Cobb stage 2 map was knocking and pulling timing. I did have a higher base run to pull from than most. If we would have dropped to the Cobb map...it would have had bigger gains to where I ended up. Once the warranty is up... That Blouch Dominator 1.5 with supporting mods looks like it will be on the list of things to do that day warranty says goodbye. In the meantime...suspension should be ordered a little later this month with some more bushings for the rear end.
