I just moved back down here (Buford area) from Greenville, SC and have been up to Dahlonega/Suches several times now, but would love to get a cruise going with some other Subies. I did some looking but from what I found, no one has said anything about this kind of thing recently. I'm guessing someone may still be interested??

Resume as in I am a 26 yr old mechanical engineer or as in they want to call a few of my buddies and ask them if I know how to drive? Do they want that in MS word or excel, haha?

    4Touge.

I think it's more they want to make sure you aren't someone that is going to cause issues. Not pushing beyond your limits etc. I don't think you have to be the best driver in the world.

That's reasonable...works out better for everyone not to drive like a wacko. I come from the motorcycle world so I am all about keeping an eye out and using common sense in the twisties! I am gonna try to start coming to some of these dinner get togethers now that I am living down here...so maybe I will meet a few of the folks there?

Haha yea, I actually posted on another Dahlonega thread that you had posted in. I am usually around on the weekends and live about 45 min south of that area, so if you or anyone else is interested in a ride or photo/video time, I am up for it :D

excel will be suffice, we will also need a minimum of 3 in car/bike videos spanning a 2 year period (determined by upload date), copies of speeding/reckless driving tickets, list of epic drives, track days, autox and pics of your Hot Wheels/Matchbox collection. You'll have to PM Matt with pics of your wife or girlfriend for approval before posting those.

damit I didn't think about that, I was going to say rent a Vespa because you'll have no problem pacing behind all the freaking blue hairs.

Then we'll just cruise up and down the road.

    That would be fun.

It just makes it more interesting. I have no problem with rain/fog/salt and gravel ;-)

Its a trust thing as well. You need to be able to be trusted not to act like a fool. Pushing your limits is a big thing...Some driving skill is wanted because accidents attract LEO, and LEO is not wanted with this kind of stuff lol. Not only that, but if you're behind me and you don't know how to stop your car, I don't want you plowing into me....or I don't want to plow into you because you slid into a tree in a corner and bounced back into the road.

So yeah, I guess it all comes down to knowing your limits. Have fun, but be safe. Drive at 7/10ths

I'll let you show us how its done. Clearly your gravel skills are much better than mine.

I'll pass on that. Been YEARS since I've rode gravel on a bike and it was on a dirtbike. Motard I'll bust my butt the first chance I get!

Yeah but you either have to have a huge sack or be a complete idiot to take a motard up to North GA on Slicks.....

I'm going with the huge sack option.

You aren't rewarded the huge sack until you do it successfully. So you get a half sack

But it's more than I would......gravel on slicks is INSANE!
