Awesome to meet you by the way. Sorry if I was a bit zoned out! Early and it was a long week. Thanks for all the compliments
I saw your car up at Houston's today. I was wondering whose car that was I can't believe you let them Valet your car!
The great thing is it's just a car. Lol I was happy to help the fellow working man earn a few bucks. I valet everywhere!
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (hp-tablet; Linux; hpwOS/3.0.2; U; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) wOSBrowser/234.40.1 Safari/534.6 TouchPad/1.0) I use to know a few valets so after the stories they use to tell me, I won't even let them valet my minivan. Car looks great though!
Yeah, I don't trust hardly anyone in my car. I think valet is for snobs anyways. If you own a sports car, go fcking park it yourself. (in the back of the lot so you don't get your door dinged)
Thanks man! It's at 205k now! As for valeting being for snobs,I guess that would also count for people eating out at nice places. You don't go in the kitchen and get your own food so why would you park your own car when the service is offered and especially if its a tip based environment. Each is own I guess, but I'm sure valets like to have some where to live also.
It's more that valets take cars for joy rides or at least hammer it if they think it's a fast one while parking if they think they can get away with it.
I agree. I was just stating what the others were thinking. No valet around here so I've never had to worry about it.
We invest a lot of time/money into these cars and grow a relationship with the "car". That would almost be like saying you wouldnt care if someone borrowed your wife/gf and had their way with her since you could just go out and find another one. To each their own I guess but I always ask if I can park it myself. Has nothing to do with not trying to support the valet. I have even given them a tip after they told me where I can park it myself.
Everyone looks at things differently. When I had my WRX I would flip out over the tiniest thing. Now days I'm like Matt.....meh it's material and can be fixed or replaced. Yeah it may suck if something happens but it's not the end of the world. Life goes on.
I see what you're saying, but the car and/or parts in the car can be replaced. Time/effort is the nature of the beast.
In the end, i don't think its worth taking the risk of having your car damaged by giving it to the valet guys. Sure they have insurance, but its not worth the trouble. Why not avoid trouble if you can?
IMO, it's no worse than your normal driving. If you value the car THAT much, then park it and don't drive it.
:clap:Nice!!! I generally don't like mustangs, but that's one sexy beast! Oh and thanks for ending the "Valet Parking" fiasco (Maybe they should start their own thread!):rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
17x9 rota dpt +42 255/40 star specs 04 sti struts i might go with a 265/40 tire next, as long as its not a star spec dont really have a good picture of the set up so heres something that just looks nice.
It actually lowers the rev limiter. I have mine set at 3k so I can realtime reflash and they can't get the car in boost. :sx:
