Finally got around to doing a fixed mount/wired install of my navi unit (Magellan Roadmate).Looking to get a simple cover ( like a sock) to slip over it when not in use,in parking lots etc.

Here are the dimensions of the unit I would need covered

    Size : 3.30" H x 3.63" W x 0.69" D
    Weight : 4.94 oz
    Screen Size : 3.5" QVGA

Since its pretty small I was hoping you could use some smaller scrap pieces to make something like this out of alacantra or leather. If you would be up to doing something like this just let me know what you would need.(pics,unit,cost,etc.)

    TIA

    PM fail?

Either way, when you say "I was hoping you…" replace the word you with Alex. JPM sock.

Why PM him...this is the Official JPM thread. Seems like a good place to make requests...might give others the idea to do the same.

I think it's cool these requests are viewable....ideas promote growth.

It made me think of something I'd like to try to make for the Radio on the Xterra since it's a touch screen. I'll see if I can't make something and see how it works out. Then if it does work get Alex to sweeten it up with some JPM goodness.

Now that right there is funny!

So did you ditch the hazard button in order to use the mount?

Yep. Your blinkers won't work without the hazard in place.
