i am not going to start the debate on which motor is better especially on suby forum. but to be fair id like you to compare it to the 2.0L you have on reg impreza or compare it to a stroked 2.4L 4g motor. but as far as i know when scott had my ebo he had no problems with motor. with the 2.5 he had he blew it up 2x. (regardless of fault) you would make more power with 4g63 per mod/cost ratio. the 2.5 boxer is great for daily driving. they all have its ups n downs
its funny how people say "oh its got torque" but in reality its only 15-25 more tq compared to other competitors. you have tq but you have less HP so its really matter of preference
If you want to use the 2.0L to compare then you will also need to up the boost on the subie for apples to apples comparison. Don't forget the Sti only boosts to about 14psi from the factory where the ebo is 19.5psi. Really just a good DD? Joey you're just stirring the pot with BS statements.
Still got an Sti afterwards and stuck with them. Doug himself said Subarus are better all around. I myself like the Evos better and would own one before an STi next. STi's I've already done so it's like meh deja vu.
YES!!!.... but nah, it's too wide. Lets just say displacement is key here, oh and add in a big snail. Ya'll stop picking on my son, Joey is still learning the way of the force. He isn't use to "nice" vehicles. He is still use to good motor, cheap cars, not the all around good built quality stuff... He is learning more everyday with the Goat.
I'm liking that Ecoboost Mike. Co-worker has one and he's getting 24 mpg on a King Ranch F150. AMAZING for such a big heavy truck.
He referenced the 2.5L USDM motor... So I assume he was referring to the 2.0L wrx motor not the JDM STi 2.0L. I don't see a point in comparing the JDM motor since most here will NEVER run one.
I find it amusing that my post stirred up the convo. i guess it doesnt matter what scott is getting as a replacement motor. whats important is that 4g63 jap pos sux and boxer hitler motor wins. but at the end whats important is that AMURRICAN V8 OWNS ALL!!!
You're always good for stirring the pot. Let's see how much more we can get out of the above statements :bigthumb:
yeah I have been doing that on facebook but people on there know already that i do it so they pay no attention... what statement? the "white power" one?
Hey not to change the subject or anything, but I got the the R180 rear diff mounted up and awaiting R180 rear hubs with Brembos. Come on Allpro! White line rear diff bushings in place also.
take your pick "4g63 jap pos sux", "hitler motor", amurrican V8 blah blah I heard he was going all electric anyway

Ok, a couple of updates. New front mount in place..... New turbo has arrived! TC76! I used a 2871R for comparision. Test block now out of the engine bay getting ready for the real thing to go in....
No,no, that is a...uh,... Canadian V8 STI motor. It only came in super mad type JDM cars! The Chevaru STI model.
I told you that plastic block of mine was not going to work very well. If you turn right the engine mount will break off on it from the g force your car produces.
I bought that block to be a straight line only block! I am telling you, first right hand turn you make and you will rip the motor mounts out of the plastic.
Not sure ETA yet. I am waiting on my heads from getting back from getting work done, have to finish motor mount setup, get a radiator and drive shaft, and a few other misc. parts first, then we will see.... the tranny, wiring harness, ecu, tuning software and other parts are here, so it's already started going back together.
All I can say is that this guy is THE MAN! If it can be done with a car, He can make it happen! PERIOD!
