Wasup guys, so i decided to do a compression test before i install my new turbo setup on my 04 wrx, kinda wanted to share what my results where so here it is..... Cylinder 1 Cylinder 2 Cylinder 3 Cylinder 4 Cylinder 3,4 seem to be the strongest one, glad to see that i had great compression on all cylinders!!!
Probably at TopSpeed, but idk i've seen and heard ppl running with stock tmic, but i really want to do a FMIC but just want to get a basic one, or STI TMIC
I'd consider a stock STI TMIC at the very least to get you're foot into the door. And you'll want a tune, period. Otherwise you may be risking motor degradation due to incorrect AFR, poor timing, etc, etc, et al.
Oh yeah i know i am getting a tune the same day of the install, question though after the install would i be able to drive to TopSpeed coming from VuongGarage or should i TOW it there instead?
I believe Cobb has an OTS map for this ? Edit: http://accessecu.com/accessport/subaru/wrx/WRX-Maps-04-Stock-SF-Intake.html -> Stage 3 -> VF39 Turbo Maps - STi Pink 565cc Injectors -> VF39-S 93 Octane. Must retain factory intake.
Not sure what that means, since i just got the thing and don't know how to use it yet, was just going to ask someone from TopSpeed to help me use the unit unless you guys can
That is what is called an Off The Shelf Map. It is a generic map that anyone can use with those mods. The AP is the device used to transfer maps and read data from your car. You will load the map to the AP, marry the AP to your car and then load said map to said car. You do not want to drive the car without either a limp tune or the OTS map loaded to the ECU Google, Cobb's website and the manual are your friends.
I posted a direct link to the map. That page also has the manuals and direct download link for the AP manager. Post up anymore questions you may have Better to ask than to blow up.
