I got the RV pass from Ped last weekend. I need to drop it off to Nicad sometime this weekend. I will be more than happy to donate for the Pork Roast or whatever else is planned.
Here's the scoop: I've rented a 38 foot RV that will be parked in turn 10a. RV pass graciously loaned from ped. Unfortunately, all the RV beds are pretty much spoken for. However, you are more than welcome to park nearby and come party with us. Tenting/camping is not that bad and tons of people do it. That being said, everyone is welcome to come party with us. We always have a good presence and a great time. There is parking right across the way from our RV spot. The usual shenanigans happen: tail gating games, beer pong,. flip cup, lots of good food, late night movies, video games, etc. If there's is enough interest (monetarily), I will break out the smoker and smoke some pork butts, brisket, ribs, etc. I'll have the grill, smoker, turker fryer, etc. Drop your ideas in this thread for food and participation levels and I'll come up with something good If you've never been before, I highly encourage you to check out the schedule of events here: http://roadatlanta.com/ev_petit.lasso This is a four day event, and I will be up there the afternoon of September 29th Tickets, schedules, and info can be found at the link above. post any questions in here, as most of us here have been doing this for years. I'm in for sure, I have that friday off, so I can stop by thursday evening and help with stuffs if needed, and I can throw in for the food cause. Also, I don't know what the requirements are, but I noticed in the fine print there is group car club pricing, maybe we would be eligible?
IIRC, we'd have to plan with them months ahead of time in order to be part of the club pricing and car corral. We did it years ago, but the turnout was less than stellar.
Thanks. Ok so this is the first year I'm having to buy a ticket... Looks like I've got to buy, in my case a full weekend pass, AND add on tent camping so I can park my car near the Rv and sleep in my car/tent?
and also slightly gay. subaru corral next to the ferrari corral? meh a few years ago I smoked 40 lbs of pork shoulder. if that's something the club can get behind, I'll take donations for the cause. other ideas are a low country boil, etc there are a few things that I would like to borrow some members of the community: projector projector screen I'll add to this. I have a playseat racing chair that works out for some amazing GT5/rFactor, GTR:Evo, forza racing late at night. last year we loaded road atlanta and the flying lizard porsches and ran laps virtually next to the real race
I'll split it with you. I intend to go up early on Friday and can meet up on saturday and give you the ticket. I did it last year with someone and it worked out great.
I plan on being there on Saturday with the gf. I will be more than happy to donate money towards the cause. It'll also be a good time for me to meet some of you as well.

i will be heading up to athens thursday night after class and will be at the track EARLY friday morning then come back EARLY sat morning. not sure who is coming with me, but i will have at least one person possibly 3-5 others. I will bring $$ with me to donate to the food cause. I will probably just park and walk over to meet you guys and bring some chairs. Might bring a sleeping bag just in case it gets late and i don't feel like commuting, lol.
wish the Clubcar was finished so we would have some quick track transportation. Anyone have a dead 4-wheeler? Need the rear axle

lol yes just the screen. I should be able buy a projector for about 125 used at work if anyone wants to fork it out

^^^ I don't *think* we've ever met in person, but from what I've seen on here, you drink A LOT. I both respect and condone that. I would like to drink beer, from a chalice, in your company, at some time. On a serious note, I'll be there. We will be at the bottom of the esses per usual, but I'm bringing a crew of heavy drinkers with me who really couldn't care less about the race itself. I'd like to come hang with some car people for a bit, and would also like to bring something of use. Just let me know if I can help. I'll bring plenty of my own beer... could I bring some burgers? Bacon? Beer bong? Tell me how I can assist.

I'll probably be doing a big meal (smoked pork, brisket, low country boil, etc) for saturday we've met. drew and I almost drank a handle of bourbon at the topspeed meet last summer. your car was on the dyno broken IIRC
should be good to go on the projector and a 113" screen. HD with 3D capability. Buying tickets this weekend
Cool. I'll bring sumthin or other. I think I might recall you, but mine never broke on the dyno unless you count that it was down on power (it was pulling timing due to a rattling uppipe shield). I do recall being pretty disappointed that day. I was the last guy to go and had a blue 04 wagon at the time (I have a black 02 now). Ah well- not like it matters.

update: RV will be good to go. I will be doing a low country boil on friday night, and cooking BBQ for saturday. ribs, pulled pork, brisket, etc. A donation bucket will be had for saturday food. If you want to stay and you don't have an RV spot - feel free to bring a tent and camp on our RV site. We'll have plenty of room. plenty of drinking, beer pong, flip cup, horseshoes, video games, etc will be had. I'll have a fire going at night for teh gay snuggling. bring camp chairs, tents, sun screen, money, and booze. oh, and women. THIS EVENT IS NEXT WEEKEND

Sounds good, looks like I'll be shooting to meet up with you all starting on friday. I'll be bringing some camera equipment and probably the gopro's I have. I've got 2 or three camping chairs, and I'll load up a cooler with beer and water and whatnot. How much are you thinking for the food donation? Also, is there room for my car to be my tent?
yeah, wherever you park your car. we won't have room at the actual campsite for your vehicle - but there's spots about 30 feet away probably $5 minimum
