I was driving down the highway when out of nowhere my car started making a clicking sound from the front passenger wheel area. I pulled over to make sure I didn't run anything over and was dragging it down the highway and nothing was there. The faster I drive the faster the clicking gets and it's pretty loud. I have a recording of it but I can't attach it from my phone. I'll have to do that tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

jack the car up, see if there is any vertical play in the wheel at the hub. if not then pull the wheel off and look at it under good lighting. May have picked up a nail or bolt in the tire.

I'll try that tomorrow morning: I hope it's just a bolt in the tire.

I just went into work late this morning. Was up since 4:30am yesterday and just wanted to sleep.

So the problem was the lesser of two evils. The tire was shredding itself on the inside and a piece of it was hitting something which caused the noise. Now to buy a new tire and get an alinement. Does anyone know a good place to get an alinement done in north GA? Like the Gainesville, buford, cumming etc area.

you can't just replace one tire on an AWD car...you have to replace all 4....unless they're brand new.

When you don't have the money replace all four you have to do what you have to do.

You can get the new one shaved down.. but...
Anyways, Allpro is located in Alpharetta so its not that far from the cumming area.

The sizes have to match or you will destroy your transmission. You will need to get the new tire shaved and the only place I know of that does that is Gran Turismo East. Luckily there isn't anyone better.

So if the other tires are almost shot then I'll have to get the tired shaved to almost nothing?

They won't shave it past a certain point, you are probably going to have to buy a set of tires
