06 wrx wheel question.Too lazy to check.

Discussion in 'Modifications & DIY how-to' started by droobydoobydoo, Oct 20, 2011.

  1. Will 16" stock rims(05 92x) fit my 06 wrx? I assume that they will hit the calipers.Do not feel like jacking both cars up.

Why would you assume that theres a brake clearance problem? I'd assume that they'll for without any problems

    Pretty sure 16's won't fit. Stock 06+ are 17's

They should fit as the 4pot brakes on your 06 WRX have been the same since 1996 or 1997...you shouldn't have an issue. The bolt pattern and the offset are the same.

The OEM size tire is a 205/55-16 which means they might be a 16x6.5, which is the stock bugeye size....they should fit no problem.

edit: I did some more research and they may not clear.

if an ASSCAR pit crew can do all 4 in 15 sec I don't think 15 minutes of labor is to far a stretch to find an answer to your question.

  9. Thanks for all your responses.Even the sarcastic ones. I am in the process of moving and my tools/jack etc are in the back of a storage unit.I have a spare set of 17 inch stockers that were gonna go on my wife's Saab if I can use her 16's for snow tires and such..
