    Stance on the new suspension.

Keep in mind...how low my car was with this modification was a distant worry. The was a performance first mod that is paying huge dividends already. Ideally, I actually didn't want the car to come down much at all as I use it for mountain biking and a slammed car would cause issues in that area. According to RCE, the car comes down 15mm with this setup from stock. I am assuming the springs need to settle a little bit so this is the highest it will be. I can also adjust the rear down some more if I want to as it is in the middle height position.

I know you are into lycra but can we see it without the rack?

I'm a baggies guy unless I am on the road bike!

The car is actually prepping for a MTB weekend in Pisgah...so the rack is getting ready to be loaded. After I get back I can do it.

Big, wide tires mean a lot of crap on the side of the car after mountain runs. Not anymore...

I got a killer deal on some Whiteline KBR Rear Braces (FREE!). Painted them to match my RCE Sways. We'll see if they actually make a difference or not...

Mounts and sliders are being ordered today. The drivers seat is in perfect condition and will go in the car as soon as those parts come in. A little bit of work needs to be done to other seat before it finds it's new home on the passenger side.

They are all cleaned up though!

They were pretty good on the previous wheels. It will be interesting to see how things change on this setup. I've been happy with them overall.

Took the new wheels up to Dahlonega yesterday...

    BIG CHANGE

The car feels so much better now. The overall ride quality improved and isn't as harsh as before. Even my wife noticed that rougher roads felt smoother. Initial turn in is better and steering feel has improved. The car seems to also have more grip coming in and out of the apex (might just be the steering feel). I am much happier with the fitment and driving characteristics of these wheels over the XXR's I had on previously. So much so...that I am contemplating not installing my rear subframe and trailing arm bushings I got in from Whiteline.

It was time for a brake upgrade and I came across a deal I just couldn't pass up...they just needed some work.

Front and rears came in looking like this...

Rotors were drilled and blue...so I painted them black.

    Stripped...

    Primed...

    Ready to go on...

    Installed...

Now I just have to bleed and take daylight pictures. Rears will be done as soon as I get the brackets from KNS Brakes.

I've occasionally looked here in your journal, but today i decided to take the time and go completely through it. I must say, you have one of the best looking and thought out car I have seen in a long time. Very clean and not over the top. Good job sir.

This turned out great. Glad you didn't go with the red as the silver/black looks really sharp with your setup now.

If you would be up for a little photo shoot I would like to maybe meet up with you sometime. I've been trying trying to get some better interior pics but I can only do so much with my current cannon.

I right off Winward on Webb Bridge Rd. so I think we are close.

    cheers

Some proper pictures now that the car is clean and out of the driveway.

Roof rack is off for now until my back heals so I can get back on the bike and the rears will be on and matching within a week or so.

  39. rsutton1223

They aren't. I stripped them. Used Duplicolor engine primer, Duplicolor silver caliper paint, Duplicolor engine clearcoat and then wet sanded before applying logos.

I emailed one of the sellers on eBay and asked them to do the specific width for me. Those shipped from Australia...so I also got impatient and got a local company to cut some.
