    In the words of Sharif:

As many of you know, one of our GT-R clients also owns the first retail delivered LFA in the world, affectionately labeled #003. The first two cars went to Toyota insiders. Roy has become a good friend over the years and unlike many supercar owners, he actually uses his cars on track and on the street. His LFA is not a garage queen by any means. Every now and then he gives me the the unique privilege of driving his LFA on track and on one such occasion at Road Atlanta we decided to bring Zak Kerbelis with us to do some filming. It's not often I am handed the keys to a $400K irreplaceable super car and told to kill it, and fortunately we had Zak on hand to film. By way of introduction, Zachary is only 18 years of old, but has produced some of the most amazing video coverage of Formula DRIFT and has quite a talent for film and video editing.

In addition to Roy, I wanted to give special appreciation to Mark and Maria of Chin Motorsports for graciously providing the track time, and another good friend and fellow GT-R owner Paul McElroy for providing the chase car footage.

Enjoy, and we'll see you all on the track again soon!

    Regards,
    Sharif Abdelbaset

Zak's camera and editing skills are amazing. I couldn't care less about the car, but the man has talent.

Hey Shariff how do you like the LFA over a new GT-R? I know two different animals but can you give your opinions if you had to choose from the two?

A couple months back I had Sharif write a VERY detailed comparison between the two when he took the LFA out on track for the very first time. Check out this link:

I think the LFA is more fun to drive. It's stiff, no body roll at all, and inputs to the controls are instant. It's almost as if someone setup the car for full blown track use right out of the factory. You have to work a lot harder to make the LFA go fast, much like a GT3. But the GT-R, especially, the new 12-13 models are going to beat the LFA on most tracks stock for stock but the LFA is way more fun to drive, IMHO.

I just wish they made a budget version in steel, instead of carbon fiber and aluminum. :)

Yeah the GT-R is pretty much self driven. I noticed that on my back to back test drives of a GT-R vs a S2000. While the GT-R is eleventy billion times faster and more powerful than the S2000, the S2000 demanded me to actually hold on and 'drive' the thing. I just had so much more fun driving the S2000.

I love the LFA.....like you I wish it was more budget friendly and not just for the elite 1%.

Good find. It's anyone's guess but if Lexus was to make something like this, it would be probably be 5-8 years down the road.

It shares some of the lines of the current LFA. I know for certain that Lexus will not produce another LFA after this round is completed. Perhaps this is the "next" crazy halo car?? :)
