Speeding 40 in a 25... basically 40 in a 35 but it was timings for a school zone.

    POINT IS...

I need a good (or GREAT) shop to redo my tint... strip and put on new, more legal chit... who's the best and where's the best value?

i stripped my old tint myself with nothing but a razorblade and windex. mine may have come off easier than most however. try it first and save yourself the $50-$150 extra bucks

I hate money. I hate tint a little bit more. I will opt to get it removed "professionally" :)

I'm also considering K&L... I'm in Dunwoody, so it's not too much of a hike.

Is that where you got your tint done? Good price? Workmanship?

i've only ever used one guy, and will be using him again around xmas. only problem is he is in Statesboro. lifetime warranty on products and workmanship, any tint you want, and significantly cheaper than anyone else who has quoted me (like HALF)

Im actually getting tinting done today. I have a friend in the tinting and detail business. He works alone, but is an absolute artist when it comes to this kind of stuff. Also cheaper than the "Big" shops
If you want, PM me and i will get you his info.

I have had 4 cars done and referred probably 10 people. He is the most OCD, anal individual I have ever seen tinting. Takes awhile, cost is around $200. But, it's perfect.

For those that are looking to get it done for cheap, keep in mind that the brand of tint also plays a factor as well. Huper Optic is supposedly the better brands in the industry based on the research I've done in the past. I'm not sure who carries it in the Atlanta area though.

i love how i have had 15% on my past 3 cars, including my STI. and the windshield tinted, never once been even mentioned on a traffic stop. Guess im just smart and roll down my windows and turn off my car :)

I use to work in Car Stereo shops that also tinted windows. They kind of go hand and hand. Anyway, the best tint back then was Llumar hands down. Lifetime warranty on the film across the country. If the tint failed, Llumar would pay the closest Llumar dealer in your area to replace the failed window or windows. Never heard of Huper Optics but there are only so many companies that actually manufacturer tint. Well at least that how it was before Asia started mass producing everything.

Your driving behavior will have a role in how much you get harassed as well. If you're driving like a hooligan (which I'm assuming the OP was based on his post) then you're obviously going to draw the wrong attention to yourself.
