During the summer of 2011 I got this hunk of car for a song and dance. After finding out several, shall we say...issues with the car, shes getting there. I'll post some more info later, been meaning to start a journal on the Lagoon.
I was some what in the same boat as your except I didnt ge tmine for a song/dance more like an arm and leg haha! Hope everything gets fixed and running for you... I am still unable to drive mine... 7 months later
Good I don't feel so bad now. Same issue, well not really. Blown motor and 10 months later lol. Hopefully very soon i'll be driving.
Yeah you were getting your fenders rolled and a few other things sorted out. Dec 14, 2011 The heads are not worth throwing away atm. Allpro is sourcing me a new set HOPEFULLY. I took the short block over to them to get checked out too. I'm hopefull that it isn't a shade of FUBAR also.... :|
i have a motor sitting in my garage with a spun rod bearing, if you come get the engine you can have it cheap. gl with the build
guy i sold my wrx to blew the motor in less than a month, don't feel so bad (granted i told him there was an unknown oil consumption issue, and he still decided to race mustangs on dirt roads). lol
Looks like there is a bit of this going around. I bought my '03 a few months back. I'm debating whether to try to source used center diff #2 or bite the bullet and pay the dealer.
