I'm just saying...that's what I was told to me by someone who tried to get their block warranted for a broken ring land.

I didn't say the warranty was void, just they would deny that claim.

But Subaru of NA is doing that so Shiring isn't fibbing. Not every is a big baller and can afford a lawyer.

Everyone who can afford a new 2012 STI can afford a lawyer.

    ...that can afford lawyers...

Just speaking for SoK, but they won't deny claims like this if it's a legitimate fault of the factory. The techs, as King can attest, will do everything possible to make sure the customer is taken care of

Completely agree...another reason I'll never buy a subaru

i could have gotten out of a lot of tickets in the past, had i been able to afford a lawyer.....

just saying, Americans buy shit they can't afford then can't afford to maintain/get out of it

the car I'm referring to was taken to SoK. They tried to get it warranted, but the warranty rep for SoA denied the claim. They also told the customer what I posted previously.

There's good information on this thread . I'm going to go visit the Svc Manager where I'm buying my STi. I looked hard at a bunch of cars and nothing can touch the STi as far as price and performance. I loved my 05 and ran it pretty hard but kept up on maintenance , etc and had no problems. I left the engine stock but worked on the suspension , brake lines , etc. It's worth the risk for me to have a new 2012 STi and hopefully I want have alot of issues. Atleast I can be a good " test guinea pig " to see where the cards will fall! Thanks for all of the information!
